What got you interested in taiko?

Just had my first 100pp play recently and wanted to know what kept you guys playing taiko?
For me I remember going to the Arcade and seeing the game for the first time! which got me interested in it :D

Going to the arcade when I am a child, then remembering it until finally China received the brand new Taiko cabinets. Got to Oni level pretty quick.

As for osu!taiko...not much to say, I don't play Taiko this way

I find the gameplay more satisfying compared to other modes and I like the variety custom charts offer. I never got into playing the game with a drum, I like clicking buttons on my keyboard or controller with console ports. Then I've just hanged around for some time, other nice thing is it's easy to get back into the game after a break.
