I think there should be a way to access the skin folder without exporting and opening it in Stable. I don't know if it's possible with the new framework, but it is annoying that I have to open Stable just to be able to change the cursor.

if I'm just crazy and there is a way never mind.

You could just rename it to .zip and extract it like a zip file

A facility to "mount" the skin to a temporary folder, similar to what the beatmap editor currently provides, is planned.
