subscribing to a featured artist

Lets say you want to find maps from a featured artists songs, you can then subscribe to the featured artist songs, then under a new search tab (maybe called 'subscribed featured artists') you can see all of the maps from the artists you have subscribed too. This would make it so much nicer to see new maps / qualified maps that have songs from featured artists you like.

to be able to subscribe to them, it could be added in the post of the announcement for the new featured artist.

I'm unsure if it was entirely what you were suggesting, the website already allows you to search for specific parameters including specific (featured) artists. (I think simply searching for the artists name works aswell, only the beatmap search allows more focused settings in case of confusion).
Though admittedly, it would probably be more convenient if some of the aforementioned search functions were added on the website as buttons/sliders instead for conveniency given it is quite technical and convoluted to use...

I don't think there's currently a function to subscribe to a map without favouriting it or subscribing to the mapper altogether. "Watch"ing a map via beatmap discussion only gives notifications on modding from what I could remember. Would be nice if something similar was implemented regardless :D

might be better to suggest on the github since idk if they check the forum as much anymore :c
