[Taiko] [#350-#1500] Ender's Nightly Deathmatch #3

Welcome to the end. This is Ender's Nightly Deathmatch #3. This time, there's a rank limit. Since the tournament will be unbadged, I take my liberty to not allow in this tournament anyone who has won tournaments recently or is a deranker just way too good for this. If anyone is to be not allowed, it will be decided on a case by case scenario when registrations end.

Tournament structure

- This is a double elimination tournament.
- The tournament is 1v1. You have to play alone.
- It is possible but not ensured that some qualifiers lobbies will be streamed.
- Qualifiers pool will have this structure: 4 NoMod, 1 Hidden, 1 HardRock, 1 Double Time, 1 Hidden+HardRock.
- Elimination stage pools will have this structure: 4 NoMod, 2 Hidden, 2 HardRock, 2 Free Mod, 1 Hidden+HardRock, 1 Double Time, 1 Hidden+Nightcore, 1 Easy+Double Time, 1 Tie Breaker.
- Free mod and Tie Breaker maps can be played with Hidden, HardRock or NoMod. Hidden+HardRock is not allowed for these.
- More information on the discord server.
- Round of 32: Best of 9. 2 bans per player
- Round of 16, and quarter finals: Best of 11 (6 points to win). 2 bans per player
- Semifinals and finals: Best of 13 (7 points to win). 1 ban per player
- Grand finals: Best of 15 (8 points to win). No bans
- Finals and grand finals will be done on the same week, with the same pool.
- The qualifiers mappool will be fully custom and the tournament will feature custom maps and tiebreakers every week.

Dates

Registration phase: July 20th to August 10th
Qualifiers showcase: August 11th, 18:00 UTC
Qualifiers: August 17th to August 18th
Round of 32: August 24th to August 25th
Round of 16: August 31st to September 01st
Quarterfinals: September 07th to September 08th
Semifinals: September 14th to September 15th
Finals & Grand finals (top 6): September 21st to September 22nd.

Prizes

- Money, if possible
- No badges
- Custom pippidon of any character for all the top 3 players to put on their skin.

Why not having Hidden + Double Time instead of Hidden + Nightcore? What would be the reason behind the choice?

Because I like Nightcore, and I found it a fitting opportunity to use it in a tournament setting, as HDNC makes more sense to me than NC alone. Also because HDNC is a arguably more accessible than HDDT due to the metronome.

Sounds about right. I did think HDNC would make it friendlier for those who never played HDDT (not my case, with how much I am using that skillset nowadays). Thanks for replying ndrrr
