So I am planning on getting a Yamaha electric guitar like Bocchi's new one in Bocchi the Rock since it inspired me. The only time I played guitar was on acoustic when I was younger but I wouldn't count that since I sucked. I feel like the bit of streams and tapping I've done in osu is kinda similar to playing guitar and will at least help me in my journey especially if I learn to tap faster in osu what do you guys think?

I feel like it would be the other way around, considering rhythm theory.
Though, I am not so educated on this, so I cannot really provide a good set in stone answer here, but rather only my thoughts on the matter.

Mmh osu! could help, but Guitar and osu! are different things anyways and both requires practice (and patience)

I feel like my rhythmic sense has quintupled since I started clicking circles, but I'm 100% sure whether you play the game or not, you need to practice the instrument you want to play in order to get good

I think if you started from 0, osu! should help you recognize BPM. Depending on your menu, it might kickstart you up on beatboxing LUL

i doubt it

While im sure playing rhythm games in general are good for subconciously learning rhythm sense and stuff like that. I dont think it would help actually learning the instrument besides maybe finger flexibility.

If you already have the determination, passion, and practices for learning an instrument, you will improve regardless of playing osu regularly or not.

It will definitely help you with rhythm and timing, but you're still gonna have to learn how to read and play notes like any other student lol
