Beatmap nominators can only nominate maps of other people. They cannot nominate their own sets or sets they have heavy involvement in.
You can ask them to do so but whether or not they want to or actually do it is up to them. Also it’s probably good to make sure that the map you are asking to nominate has been modded and checked multiple times before you get them to.
