[resolved] [osu!web] Beatmap audio preview does not work in firefox

Problem details:
As the title says, the audio preview on the website doesn't work.

Dev console debug message:


I've been troubleshooting for a while, but to no avail. I don't really know what CORS is or where I can add that header (if that's even something I can do).


osu! version: Stable 20240513.1 (latest)

Do you have any extensions or anything that might be blocking the audio previews from playing?

FWIW, previews work fine on my firefox so make sure that you don't have any extensions stopping them or see if your firefox might need an update

Indeed I did. https://mybrowseraddon.com/audio-equalizer.html this audio equalizer was the culprit. Out of curiosity, how does a problem like this come from an extension like that?

Not entirely sure but probably something to do with how extensions interact with media files and how the website wants to display them audio/visually.
