For the past month, I've had nearly unbearable smoothing on my CTL-672 that showed up randomly.
I've had this CTL-672 for about 2ish years now and know how it should feel normally. Before it I had an XP-Pen G640S NOT a normal one. I had bought it 5 years ago and back then didn't know it was different than the 640.
Steps I've taken to try and solve this issue:
- Used TabletDriverCleanup multiple times.
- Deleted the OTD files in C: multiple times.
- Used Wacom, Hawku and older versions of OTD.
- Issue is also prominent on Lazer.
- Tried a fresh install of Windows on a completely different drive AND of Osu aswell.
- Contacting OTD Discord server (they said it's most likely not an OTD or a tablet issue).
- Changing from my RTX 2060S to an RX590 8GB (no 2048SP shenanigans either), used Amermimezone drivers (R.ID now) .
- Updating my BIOS to F66
- Running stress tests on my hardware, everything is within spec.
- Tried my XP-PEN G640S (NOT THE 640 BUT THE 640S), Felt the EXACT same as my CTL-672 somehow even though the G640S felt like garbage before.
- Tried different Filters (Devocub Antichatter, AstralQbit's radial smoothing and Kuube's chatter exterminator both smooth and raw.) doesn't seem like filters are the issue since even on a clean install it's still messed up.
- Checked for anything that might make a magnetic field around my tablet, but nothing should be.
- Tried moving Osu to a different drive.
- I know this isn't in my head because it's very obvious when using a different PC that it's fine, and sometimes on my own PC the smoothing feeling goes away but comes back very rarely.
PC Specs:
Ryzen 5 3600 (Const. Voltage 1.087 at 3.9GHz)
PNY XLR8 2060S 8GB
4x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz (stock timings CL16)
Aorus B450 Elite
Cooler Master Elite 600W V3
