No offense, but your opnion is kinda opposite to my experience, then.
Since I'm a Taiko mapper, I judge that by hearing drum sounds. Usually drum in music sounds like 'o o x o o o x o'(1/2 interval) in a stanza, (cause composers place them like that, maybe?) and that's why lots of mappers in here put clap or whistles in 2nd, 4th beat in a stanza. This can be applied with BPM 82 in this song too. (Drums can be differ by music but usually snare or something like that is placed in 2nd and 4th beat anyway.)
Anyway this doesn't change the fact that the Taiko diff is severly overmapped. (Well, this sounds like 1/8s, seriously.)
