why do people play loved maps?

Lots of loved maps feature unique patterns that are satisfying to play or just music in general that have no ranked representation. I haven’t played too many myself, but the ones I have played were really cool to experience.
IMO,these kind of maps are fun to play despite not suitable to be ranked due some requirements to be fulfilled aren't met yet. It has a lot of unique patterns that ranked maps don't have, and some of it are just meme maps for fun~
For fun and improvement! Fun loved maps that are equally good if not better than ranked maps. And also most of them are unique in their nature that gives challenge for you to try out!

Loved maps are played because they are loved by a lot of people 
because there's circles to click
Yeah, like it's fun to play, that's why it's loved.
I play this one loved beatmap with a *unique* difficulty. The first difficulty was something different, and it was only full of weirdddddd slider patterns.
(Oh yeah, and sometimes I would be impatient about the slider taking too long to end)
