So I recorded my first run and found out that 100% completion also includes completing the extra missions on all levels (to gold). Luckily I found this out before I started my run.
It started by getting the first turbo (out of 4) within the first two minutes so it makes it much faster to get through the map. I tried to carefully track all the collectibles and despite of actually missing a few here and there I was quite done at around 18 minutes, merely the stars (that appear random) and the gold mine area were missing which I kept for later since a late game mission will make me go there anyway.
I clearly noticed that I wasted a good chunk of time (maybe three to five minutes in total of the run) by running over the mailboxes, hay bales and gold nuggets and will make sure to optimize that for later, might even keep that for late game grind.
The only part of the run where I stumbled really hard was the very last race (aka The Big Race) where the AI of the purple Bobby-Car is crazy aggressive and is near impossible to catch up once they build enough distance to you. In the end I managed to find a somewhat reliable trick by just "cheating" (and race a bit out of the supposed barriers), might also be very unlucky RNG and I got a quite aggressive and kinda unfair AI for the time.
I completed the run in 2 hours, 10 minutes and 38 seconds, and I also made sure to check if I really collected everything (which I did!), however.... I stopped the recording in the credits WITHOUT proving I had everything. While it can be recheck if I really found everything it needed to be proven in the video at the very end after you completed the run that you found every single item for the garage and shown in the map that you cleared all missions on gold.
Despite of that I'm satisfied and learnt a lot in this run, and I'll give it another shot on sunday this weekend. If you wanna hang out a bit then join the chat at 9pm CET times, twitch.tv/Derpovic
