Discord - Main Sheet - Team Registration - Stream
OBC is an annual osu!std team-based tournament locked to the countries that were part of the former state of Yugoslavia. Those are Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo.
Though it may seem daunting at first, we encourage players of all skill levels to give it a go, especially beginners! We hope to see as many players as possible, newbies and veterans alike. If you are looking to play but don't have teammates, feel free to join our Discord server and look for teammates there, in the #obc-recruiting channel. Or just join the server regardless, because that's where all the fun is - the more, the merrier!

There are going to be two tiers - effectively two simultaneous tournaments:
Tier 1 - OBC
- Meant for the more experienced/skilled players
- Will feature more challenging, harder maps
- The winning team will earn a permanent badge for their profile
- Will start with a Qualifiers stage
- Meant for beginner players
- Will start with a Group Stage
- Teams will be sorted into a list by the PP sum of the two highest-ranked players in the team
- The upper part of that list will be playing OBC, while the lower part will be playing OBChibi
- If your team got sorted into OBChibi but you wish to play in OBC instead, you are allowed to switch tiers. However, the other way around is not allowed.
- Exact number of teams in each tier will depend on the total number of signups
- Ideally, we are aiming for 16 teams in OBC after qualifiers and 32 teams in Chibi going into Group Stage
How to Register
First off, due to the large skill discrepancy of players, we have put these two restrictions in place to even the odds a bit:
1. The sum of global ranks of players on a team cannot be under #4500
2. A team may register with three members (extra substitute player) if none of the players on the team are ranked #1-#25,000
Other rules:
If you don't see your team appear on the team list within ~5 minutes, contact me on Discord (suki007).
If you wish to change your registration in any way, or unregister, also contact me on Discord.
Please note: players who are under a Tournament Ban, or have broken the osu! community rules of conduct in the past 12 months will be disallowed from participating in OBC. This check is performed by the official osu! tournament support team when registrations end. In the event that someone's teammate is disqualified in this manner, they are allowed to find a substitute from a team that didn't manage to qualify.

Map pools will consist of a range of maps meant to test a variety of skillsets, divided into the following categories:
Nomod | Hidden | Hard Rock | Freemod | Double Time | Tiebreaker

Map pools will consist of a range of maps meant to test a variety of skillsets, divided into the following categories:
- Nomod maps are played without any additional gameplay-affecting mods.
- Maps in Hidden, Hard Rock, and Double Time are played with their respective mod.
- For maps in Freemod, players choose any combination of Hidden, Hard Rock, Easy, and Flashlight mods.
- All players must pick at least one mod
- Scores played with EZ will be multiplied by 1.8x
- Players on the same team must pick unique mod combinations
- For this rule, HR-only and HR+HD are NOT considered as two unique mod combinations, and as such this specific combination is not allowed.
- Tiebreakers do not have any restrictions for mods, players can use any combination they want, including no mods at all.
Qualifiers
- Tier 1 - OBC will start with this stage. Afterwards, teams that qualify will proceed into a Double-Elimination bracket.
- Referees will set up multiple qualifier lobbies at different times, and each team must pick any one lobby to play in. This will become available when the Qualifiers Map Pool releases.
- The Qualifiers Map Pool will contain 10 maps: 4x Nomod, 2x Hidden, 2x Hard Rock, and 2x Double Time. All teams in the lobby will play all maps in this order.
- Tier 2 - OBChibi will start with this stage. Afterwards, teams that place top 2 within their group (determined by number of won matches) will proceed into a Double-Elimination bracket.
- Groups will have 4 teams each
- Round Robin - every team plays a match against every other team in a group
- If two teams have the same number of match wins, the tie will be broken by comparing how many individual map wins they have. If that is also tied, it will be whichever team won the match between the tied teams.
- Double-Elimination bracket: teams that lose their match move to the losers bracket. In the losers bracket, losing a match results in elimination from the tournament. The team that successfully progresses through the losers bracket all the way will face off against the winner of the regular bracket in the final match of the tournament - the Grand Finals. However, since the team that came from losers bracket already lost one game before, they have to win twice against the finalist of the upper bracket in order to claim first place.
Match Procedure
All matches must be coordinated by referees.
Joining your match
All matches must be coordinated by referees.
Joining your match
- All players will receive invites for a multiplayer lobby which will be created by a referee, at the scheduled time of the match.
- Players will have 15 minutes after receiving the invite to join the lobby.
- If a team doesn't have at least one player in the lobby by the time limit, they lose the match automatically.
- When players have joined, each team can choose any beatmap (not from the current map pool) to be played as a warmup. These beatmaps cannot exceed 6 minutes in length.
- After the warmups have been played, one player from both teams will type !roll in the chat. The team that gets the highest roll gets to pick between first ban or second ban.
- Maps that are banned are not allowed to be picked by either team for the rest of the match. To ban a map, simply type either the name of the map, or the maps number in the map pool.
- Example: the third map in the Nomod category is Nomod 3 or NM3
- The Tiebreaker map cannot be banned (or picked).
- Each team will have either one or two bans at their disposal, depending on the current stage of the tournament.
- One ban per team up to Quarterfinals, two per team in Semifinals and onwards
- The same team is not allowed to ban multiple maps of the same mod category, except for the Nomod category.
- The team that had the first ban will also be the first to pick a map to be played.
- The picked map is then played, and the team that gets the most combined score wins one point.
- Teams with three players may freely swap players in and out for each played map in the match
- Teams take turns picking maps until one team wins enough points to win the match.
- Examples: In a Best of 9 match, a team wins when they achieve 5 points. This is 6 for BO11 and 7 for BO13
- A team is not allowed to pick two maps from the same mod category consecutively, except for the Nomod category.
- In a special case when both teams are one point away from victory, the match is decided by the Tiebreaker map.
- If a team takes overly long to pick or ban a map multiple times, or stalls on purpose, the referee may deny them their pick/ban and give it to the other team.
- In case of players missing, disconnects from the lobby during a map, or other technical difficulties, the map may be replayed, or a short pause may be made.
- These decisions will be up to the referees discretion, and they will be made depending on the current circumstances of the match.
