That's where you set your ojamas,or so I heard.

WTF?! There's a 300 play reward? I don't remember there being one in the previous games, but it's probably a costume?








Speaking of which, the game has an Achievements feature. These give you hints as to what you should actually be doing to unlock some stuff.

This is also the only way to obtain the guest character costumes: to get the Monster Hunter/ Ryu Gotoku of the End / im@s / Miku costumes, you have to complete the "*franchise* fan" and "*franchise* suki" achievements, which require clearing their songs on Kantan and Futsuu.

Also, I am about to post a WALL OF PICS of what I've been screenshotting today. Also, I'm setting up my livestream for PSPDX, I'll guys link you to it later

Misc: The last non-Namco Original song is marked as 36/82. So more than half of the songlist is actually Namco Originals OwO

Well, I setup the livestream channel. Will be hanging around its chat to check if people want me to do something.

Time to shitstorm this place with screenshots.


This is my first ever 8 Song Medley Mode score. The songs were: Kurenai->Angel Dream->Wanya World->Don't Cut (Ura) -> Black Rose Apostle (Ura) -> Punishment -> Rotter Tarmination (Ura) -> Hatsune Miku no Gekishou (Ura). I combobroke on three songs: Wanya World (sadistic combobreaker on the Vocaloid gibberish part), Rotter Tarmination (would you look at the last 4 songs I picked? If I added M.Sai that would've killed my hand completely), Gekishou (too tired to even bother lol)



After the 1000 combo sound, the next comboburst sound is actually at 2000 combo. Don-chan blurting out "Niisen combo" kinda distracted me and thus I missed at 2336... lol.

Yeah, you get to use this badass Omishiko over here. The orange taikos are your army.

This was the cuteness overload shot I wanted everyone to see. Unfortunately it's not that cute just as a still image though... those orange drums fully animated to keep strumming on their drums... eep~



These screenshots indicate armies that you will battle for the first time. Notice the dark aura they're emitting? Early in the story, some dark entity temporarily took control of Don's body, which I think pretty much sets the plot of the story. I think.



When you win against these, Don sucks up the dark aura from these other Taikos. Actually that's kind of unnerving...



O_O



Notice how the setting in the background is your base. Yeah, random other armies come to challenge you in your base. If you refuse, your army count reduces by 1 (at least that's what hapened to me when I accidentally refused). Also notice how this army has 3 items with them.



When you get the bonus condition, your army literally runs over the opposition as they push it a lot of meters farther.

You didn't have to bring that face all the way to the base though...



You'll have to get used to being greeted like this everytime, as one day passes for every action you do. Also notice how the number of Orange Taikos in your army become more and more~

I've been challenged by some Taiko that almost looks like Katsu... lol

This is Mekadon's version of that epic stare.




Aaaand that's it.

Since I already got 3 people in the base, I might as well describe some of the items:
Tetsuo - Duration type. On activation, the Omishiko gauge increases by 1.5x faster for the duration of the support.
Donko - the Omishiko gauge gets filled on activation. I think this is useful for songs that are insanely note heavy and thus the gauge fills really slow
Mekadon - Duration type. On activation, Auto plays the notes for the duration of the item.

It's probably another gimmick note like the bell notes in psp 1&2. Haven't actually encountered it yet though.

Another small thing about omikoshi (or is it omikoji?) mode, you can actually choose where you start. So Zekira most likely atarted with Tokyo, but I went for the southermost part first. The support characters you get also differs depending on location, which is why I have Unagi instead of Tetsuo.

And yeah I started from Tokyo since I accidentally pressed Circle too fast, lol

I can alerady fit two people in my Omikoshi now, so I took along Tetsuo and Donko for now.

I don't think you unlock a song from 300 plays; PSP1 and PSP2 didn't have one, and there are already a large number of songs without the 300 plays...

Yeah I was planning to do that but was busy since last night. Studies, Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary and Taiko Time frenzy not helping

I'm liking WRI more and more everytime I listen to it though;

mainly because I'm blushing alone everytime I think of Kyouki having an emo face due to the song 8D EPIC PERSONALITY CHANGE EVERYTIME HE GETS THE MIC. MUST KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT 8D

Nah, mine was different(both name and image). Even when I named my image "derp", the uploaded image suddenly changed to "derp-10" for some reason. And I tried three times, same result. Then I tried naming my image "derp-10" as well to see what happened, the outcome was still the same.

Descriptions?I can't say much since I'm not very familar with the charts…
Mei's known for the slow-down in the middle,MENDES for the trololol near
the end (with Zenoshi),Himiko…It's Yoshitaka and Wac,what do you expect?
Shakunetsu is obviously SCRATCH NOTES,SCRATCH NOTES EVERYWHERE.

For Sasoribi,I think it's the BPM changes and the fact that the whole song's
on piano.(you don't really expect that in a game dominated by electronic music)

Music Re(ry is Music Revolver.I -think- Zekira has the audio
file I recorded before.

EDIT: I just found a clear version of that song on the Taito website. However, it's only the first half of the song.

Music Gun Gun 2 is pretty obscure,so I'm not surprised.
I did make a recording though.Sucky quality (so much background noise orz)
but yeah I can't really do much about it.

If I remember correctly, that soda can costume was also present in DS3 (and maybe DS2, not sure).
And for some reason, Punishment is really hard to FC on the PSP. I can do fine on osu!Taiko, but I can't keep up here. It's funny, for osu!Taiko I use a PS3 controller. lol

The buttons on the PSP feel too sticky for fast switching for some reason. That's probably why I'm having so much trouble FCing Punishment here. Although I actually do better on Mata here than on Taikojiro or osu!Taiko.
