I am requesting a new mod to the game that is designed for practicing specific sections of a song.
With this mod active, every time you miss a note or do not hit it perfect (perhaps this could be two stacking mods similar to how DT/NC works), the map rewinds a few seconds, so if you're struggling at a part you can beat your head against it indefinitely until you get it right without having to restart the entire song.
Edit: Obviously this mod would disable scoring entirely, it would exist exclusively for practice.
