How does score override work?

I had a 200pp choke score on Chika Chika 1+2 IQ NM. But then I accidentally override it with an FC with less acc that is worth only 192pp, which takes pp away from my total pp.

But then when it comes to Everybody do the flop top diff, I had a HT score of 152pp (worth ~2 raw pp) and I just override it with NM that is worth less pp. This doesn't reduce pp from my total pp however.

Why is that?

basically, you get one score for each mod combo. The pp you get will be the highest pp from those scores. So, you can't lose pp from beating a score with a different mod combo. But you can overwrite a score with the same mod and lose pp.

what is displayed on the leaderboards is your score with the highest score regardless of mods

what affects your pp is the score that gives the most pp, if your NM score gives that most pp then thats the one that is used for you pp, if your HR score gives more pp even though it has less score then it is the one that is used for pp.

however if you have a score on a particular mod that is less score but more pp than another play on the same mod then it will unfortunately not overwrite the one that is less pp,

ex: score 1: 92% NM FC 200pp 100mil points vs score2: 99% NM 1 miss 300pp 90mil points = winner: score 1 with less pp

a practical example: my NM score that had 1 miss and 301pp with only 2.2k combo did not over write my NM score that had 14 misses and 247pp and 2.7k combo.

that is also why BlackDog5's NM 998pp FC on chronostasis is displayed on the leaderboards but his HR 1k pp is displayed on his profile

The highest pp score will be displayed in your top plays BUT the highest score will be displayed in the leaderboard.

If it's the same mod, the highest score will count even if it's not the highest pp play.
