Problem details:

osu! crashes when playing a song, I think? It didn't crash on the circles! start theme, but if I go to the song selection screen and back to the start screen, it crashes, also when listening to a song preview on osu direct, when I was playing the song on the editor and when playing a map. It doesn't crash instantly, but a few seconds later. It also crashed on the direct screen without listening to a song, so maybe it's unrelated, I don't know.

Likely related to some overlay software on your system (discord, obs or overlay from some other app like gaming app). Try disabling such overlays and see if it helps.
