Surgically removing your pinky

I had this idea and it is purely hypothetical, but I am an overly curious person. I notice that when I am playing osu my pinky feels more like dead weight slowing me down, it doesn't feel like it changes the grip on my mouse, it doesn't feel like it helps me control my mouse better or otherwise gives me any benefits when playing beatmaps.

I don't see a downside in the aspects of playing OSU if someone had their pinky removed, in fact I think it'd just be an upside as you'd no longer be dealing with the struggles of lifting your pinky up in a weird manner in order to move your mouse better, and you can forget about the cramps you often form in your pinky from such acts.

Please give me your thoughts!

"The pinkie holds as much as 50% of your hand strength. The pinkie along with the ring finger forms the power bottom of your hand while the thumb, index finger, and middle finger provide dexterity. In fact, losing your little finger and ring finger can reduce your grip strength by 67%."

Average osu player trying min max their skill instead of play more

That would make 9k/10k/11/12k mania impossible.

Why not just put your pinky on the side of your mouse and or buy a mouse with a pinky rest (something similar to a Redragon M720/M602)?

I'm no anatomy expert, but I'm sure the pinky is just as important as every other finger. There's probably a reason why primates haven't evolved to not have pinky fingers (we'd look pretty weird with vestigial pinky fingers tbh).

tbh instead of removing your pinky just replace your fingers altogether will robotic ones. Now you don't have to worry about tapping and play relax your whole life!

This is what playing more does to an osu player

try touchpad, pinky won't be a dead weight because you just need to move one finger. No need to grip, no need to move hand, just one finger is enough to aim

Sadly not everyone has a trackpad or one thats good (or even a laptop). I know MacBooks have great trackpads and my laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3) has a pretty good one,

The touchpad Lenovo uses are one of the best when it comes to windows laptops. MacBooks touchpad work differently with windows ones
