Whenever I start a beatmap, a second later the pause menu flashes and then the game resumes again and forces me to choke. This only happens in fullscreen

That usually happens to me, the solution I do is open the suspension window with ctrl+alt+del and touching the "cancel" button returns me to the desktop and I open the open tab of the game.Nilsber wrote:
