So I've been playing rhythm games for a while and always wanted to record my gameplay and post it on YouTube, I made a video from gameplay on muse dash but never had the courage to publish it but I recently started playing osu! again, started getting and even uploaded a video already but I'm not quite sure how to promote it. Any Ideas ?

I'd recommend making your osu channel be more than just gameplay. Unless you can set at least near top player scores, you aren't gonna get far with just osu gameplay.

what kind of content, like challenges or weird Beatmaps ?

Take a look at koifishu's and BTMC's videos. They usually have something unique and you could find some ideas and inspiration from it.

I half agree with Stomiks, but 'near top player' isn't a requirement.
Just get familiar with the game and be good enough to make interesting videos with the skill you have.
At the moment, gameplay isn't an option for you.

You can make videos related to the community, a player, a map, anything informative is a good start.
The easiest and least thought of at the moment, could be a video about the forums.

A weekly series showcasing the funniest Off-Topic threads?
Or visualising some of the most helpful G&R threads?

You can do a lot with what you have, as long as it isn't related to your skill.

Just remember that there are other aspects to making good content, such as editing, effort and personality.

- Good luck on your YouTube journey, I'm sure you'll do fine ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

I thought of doing videos on the history behind specific maps or players in osu like -Remi an Stomiks said but I haven't really gotten any ideas
