Modding incentive is always low as usual but maybe supporter can be an incentive.

Cons:
1. Kudosu farming

2. Mod spam - something like 20 separate nc mods

3. Decreased mod quality - less incentive for proper explanations which take more time

Possible solutions
- Restrict upvotes or kudosu earning upvotes to mapper, gd'er and bns?
- limit kudosu per mod to 1?
- maybe limit amount of kudosu someone can give rather than hype

this may make people spam nit picky mod posts on less experience mappers's maps to farm kudosu, it's already a big problem in the modding world and this will only make it worse

if this was made on moddingv1 AND with lower kudosu amount then it may works but still it's ehhhhhhhhhhhh

1000 kudosu is a huge amount of work. Most modders achieve the BN status well before reaching 1000 kudosu, which rewards them with permanent supporter for the duration of their position.

If anything, kudosu can be used by existing nominators to nominate their own maps. 200 kudosu per self-nomination seems like a fair amount, since this would require modding ~20 different sets, or ~60 hours modding spanning half a year with minimum activity requirements.

It's already limited to one per mod? Let's do not count cases when multiple amount of people votes for some joke mod, bn's have deny kudosu button.

If you want to get 5-10 per one big mode - review function exists, use it.


Kudosu earnings should not be limited, sometimes map can have different issues on ~same~ spot.
Such thing is cool to be added, but not really possible because of reasons you said

railguns response may be a good idea but the question is kinda against intention of osusupporter youre not really supporting when you dont pay for it

in the time it would take to get 1 month of supporter through modding you would be able to get a lifetime of osu supporter for you and your friend through flipping burgers

It should be noted that some people are sitting on a ridiculous amount of kudosu. Maybe different exchange rates for old and new kudosu.

Also I would like to see suggestions for kudosu usage for everyone and not just bns. But yes, railgun's suggestion is way more realistic than this xd.

Fingers crossed on this one. You can't always know if your map is perfect unless you ask other people first. That is ridiculous and doesn't make sense.

A hype doesn't always mean the map is actually 'worth for rank'. It still requires modding from modders and BNs to refine, or at least check if the map is actually good for rank. That just invite possiblities to abuse modding power.

If this idea even implemented, then the entire beatmap ranking process should be overhauled too.

@ryu sei map that got self-nom'd can still be popped, and the person who did it will probably be punished even harder than normal nomming so i can't see why it's not feasible

the idea that kudosu = effort in modding is very flawed. you get more kudosu by spamming blanket mods on a new map then a few high quality mods on an experienced mappers map
