Calm down, sailor; of course the star rating system is going to be completely inaccurate when you place a single object down. That doesn't say anything about its accuracy with complete maps. And really, do you expect relatively new players to be able to beat that Normal difficulty?
Yes they would, I've been to multiplayer with a couple friends of mine WHO ARE NEW TO THIS GAME and they all passed the map, they don't even play this game as often as most of people here so don't give me that "it's too hard for newbies" bullshit.
You can't speak for everyone with that. I also know many people that would fail miserably at a map of this difficulty. I'm going to assume that your friends are familiar with rhythm games at the very least, but you have to be aware that not everyone is.

I don't care what the BPM is, making a difficulty under 3 stars is not difficult. It doesn't have to be full of 1/1 and be completely boring either regardless of what everyone else does with their maps. You're just making excuses for your own damn incompetence.
That's what I did when I first started the difficulty, full 1/1s and it was still well above 3, so I thought might as well throw in more rhythm than plain 1/1, problem?
There's more than one way to map a song. In any case, using less objects would have lowered the star rating to under 3 and would have made it accessible to new players as an easier difficulty. By the looks of it, a seperate difficulty probably would have been best.

Whine all you want, but it's not going to change the fact that your map slipped by and shouldn't have been ranked in its current state.
I don't know who is whining; myself or those of you who're bitching about my map 'slipping by' while all you MATs/BATs were too busy checking your friends' maps to care about anyone else. Oops I might've touched a nerve there, too bad deal with it.
See, the reason why I set up my mod queue was to avoid stuff like that. Everyone has their own way of dealing with it, really, but these days people are getting more reluctant to mod their friends' maps just for the sake of it. It has its own stigma attached to it and we all know it's not the best way of handling the daunting amount of pending maps. It's actually completely irrelevant here, so I'm dropping it before you link a bunch of maps that were ranked in a week or something to prove a point.

If you can't make decent difficulties under 3 stars, go get a guest mapper next time.
The main difficulty of this set is [Another], I could've given even less of a fuck and got it approved just by itself, but I decided to throw in some bonus difficulties for those who don't even bother playing approved maps.
If you don't give a fuck, then don't even bother getting anything ranked. I don't know how you can so violently defend something you're so apathetic about in reality.
