depending on what you're mapping (be it a song thats from a featured artist or such) the BPM might already be on the osu website.
however if it isnt you could try googling for the bpm.
if nothing else works you might have to tap to the bpm on your own by starting the song and pressing "T" to the bpm. I don't really have tips on how to help with the tapping part, though.
