What the heck is the timing window?

I'm new to Osu! and I've played many vertical rhythm games. I get the timing windows are smaller but where are they?! I get 100 and miss when it feels right to press, why is that? I found myself spamming the keys just to do an easy level because the timing windows are so far up, it just feels weird.

is there something I'm doing wrong? I tried to adjust the offset and it didn't work but I'm wondering if I messed something up...

try adjusting scroll speed, F3 is down and F4 is up

Either your hit position, your offset, or your scroll speed is wrong.

I think its the fact that I'm using a mac. I use my pc mainly and the hitboxes and everything are much better, since the mac osu can be glitchy I'm just assuming its because of that. I adjusted the offset to -150, and still no difference lol.

ps: the scroll speed isn't abnormal either :/

Stop using a mac and everything will be alright
