How do osu! People Meet other osu! People

I've been playing this game for about 7 months now and I am addicted like many others. I look at other people accounts from time to time whether because a score they got was close to mine or I just stumbled upon them.

My question is, how the hell do people have like, 200 friends with 10d in the game? Where are these people coming from? I guess I'm just wondering where to get more integrated into the community, anyone have any good places to find people?

I don't want this to come across as desperate, but none of my friends online play this game, so it's like I'm talking to a wall half the time when I bring up cool scores or recent news.

Also, if you rank high in your country or worldwide you might get attention from other players as well.

Another way is to be active in the community, like in forums, discord servers or chats for example.
Sugar_owo
talking on the forums and asking people in General Discussion is a good idea to get closer to people

Discord servers, osu reddit, community tournaments, twitch channels, multiplayer lobbies, twitter, and irl is how I make friends on osu.
Synphonica
Yeah. Pretty much 70% of my friends or followers depending on what u like to call it, are people from forums or from discord and twitch
Chromathic_old

You can make contact with most of the osu! community in discord servers. You can try joining osu! youtubers discord servers. There are some other ways like osu! reddit and multi-lobbies as well.

Playing multi and joining discord servers related to the game. Sometimes I meet people who share the same love of mania that I do in super weird and obscure places. It's all about being out there in the interwebz I guess :)

Play multi, or read the Introductions forum.

The most effective ones to meet new people would probably be forums, and tourneys.

I'd say im more of an ambivert but if you wanna meet new people then just stop thinking. Like actually, if a thought comes into your head like "holy shit I'm being so weird, I wonder what they think of me" just stop thinking about it. That's how you meet new people as an introvert, I'm a pretty shy person but once I just swallowed my social anxiety and went for it, I found some really nice people and even a girlfriend. Give it a shot man, you never know, you might meet some cool people.

First from what i seen you are definitely a extrovert.
Second: shy and introvert are two different thing
Shy: a person who wanna talk but don't have power to start or join a conversation
Introvert: a person who don't like talking much and wanna spend most of his time alone.
As for me. I am an INTJ and i like spending my time on thinking about different scenarios that can happen in future and dying of thinking about things what happen in past.

That's normal to get confused in shy and introvert. But if you treat a introvert as a shy person. He will get irritated XD
And I don't want girlfriend. Jai bajrandal

yea I'm more outgoing on the internet since I find it hard to have social anxiety online. I'm way less extroverted irl but I don't find interacting with others too tiring which is why I said im an ambivert

I am judging a person by how much i know about them and how much i seen them talking. Of course its not accurate in real life and i am not saying its accurate in irl. Judging isn't bad unless you are being one sided and only seeing the bad side not good side.

The real world is a society where people must show there official stances
But the internet is a society where people can express there real intentions
