Have you tried playing for a reason other than getting good?
I've been grinding the game for a long time without breaks and in the end it (pretty suddenly) almost made me hate and quit the vsrg genre completely, because of me realising how much time I wasted, even though my improvement went really well.
I only came back because there are still lots of cool files I haven't played and I no longer have a competitive mindset.
