Hello everyone, for the questions below I want your guys’ opinions on which key count is better for what catagory. 4K includes games like osu!mania4k, etterna, and step mania. 7k includes games like osu!mania7k, lr2, and o2jqm.

1: which key count is better for having fun at high levels and why?

2: which key count looks more impressive at high levels

3: which key count is more popular?

4: is it cooler to beat all the 4k reform dans, or all the jinjin 7k dans?

5: which key count is overall better?

1. Probably 7K. I can't say why though.

2. To outsiders, 4K usually looks more impressive when vibro/chordjack is present.

3. 4K.

4. It's not like anyone's ever going to beat all the REFORM dans in the next 5 years. I'm not sure about the "coolness" of either though.

5. They're both good in their own ways. No need to compare.

Please, don't take VSRGs as your way to gain fame or to act "cool". It won't get you so much fame and it doesn't make you any "cooler". The general idea of trying to be "cool" is something I don't understand, and rather dislike it if you put all of your effort and finance into it.

1. 7k, as a dual mode player, I think 7k is more fun than 4k as 7k has lot of patterns, unlike 4k at certain levels, become a speed and stamina game, although there's still some SV and LN maps in 4k, but these variations in 7k is more creative at all,it can improve your overall finger coordinate.

2. I think both modes are impressive if you reach the top score on the hardest maps, it... Yeah everyone will be shocked if you got top score on hardest map in mania no matter 4 or 7k

3. 4k is more popular and friendly to new players. Most of new players give up 7k as it is hard to coordinate your fingers at first.

4. Lul, for me i think reform final dan are so cool if you can PASS (not CLEAR), as the speed of the maps are not made for human. But anyway both modes have their
own hardest part

5. I think both modes are the same, but in osu!mania, 7k is better as the PP are much higher than 4k, the star rating of 7k is much higher than 4k (exp: 3rd Dan vs Reform 3rd dan) has big star rating diff. So it is equivalent to their respective dan difficulty, but with diff star rating. If you want to grind for PP, 7k is the better path but it cost you more to master it :D

Hope my opinion helps you out!

1. 7k; hard to find "fun" harder 4k map at my level
2. undoubtedly 7k, i don't see any impressiveness in 4k, atleast for me
3. 4k; 7k won't be popular bc it's hard to get in it
4. no opinion
5. :)

1: if you enjoy speed, 4k. if you enjoy speed and a variety of patterns, 7k.

2: 4k probably, jumptrills look super enticing to people who never played vsrgs before.

3: 4k without question.

4: idk you tell me.

5: idk you tell me. I'd of course say 7k since I'm a 7k player, but its up to you.

also, if you are playing this game to impress people, you are better off doing something else. I never understood why people play this game to impress people, because it seems so pointless and such a waste of time if that is your main goal in playing anything. The game is meant for your own satisfaction on your own improvement. Not anyone else's. If you want to show off your hard work every once in a while, that's fine. But revolving your entire motivation to play the game just to look cool is a really dumb way to play the game imo.

1. idk
for me accing technical 4k stuff is really fun
but hard stuff in 7k is also really fun
there's a reason i play both regularly

2. 7k ln is pretty crazy to an uninformed audience
look at cheewee's live zen zen zense or anything from windy (2ard) for example
to the average person both probably look equally cool at a high level though
also check out https://youtu.be/eipmimFKzxA

3. 4k

4. id be most impressed by someone clearing old 7k ln zenith
but overall i'm not a huge fan of dans

5. i like both a lot
if i were you, i'd give them both a shot and see which i liked more

true real based etc

you can get a solid 15 minutes of fame with this game but not much more, it all looks practically the same to the average person and it gets boring quicker than other games/skills

without gimmicks like sv, storyboarding (and modcharting in general), visual mods, etc (which usually aren't the greatest display of skill to experienced players), it's hard to impress people for long
