Yooo a incoming 7k player!
If you're completely new to 7k, I recommend playing convert maps for a week or two to learn basic finger independency. Learn which keys to hit with what fingers, and learn basic LN release timing. Then, once you are comfortable with 2* convert maps, move onto the ranked maps. Ranked maps in that level teach you the basic patterns you need to learn, so by using the finger independency you learned from the convert maps, play those ranked 2* maps. After that, you will move onto the 3* maps, and so on.
I'll also point out that unranked maps are ESSENTIAL to improving in 7k. Unlike 4k, 7k has far less ranked maps to practice from. LMK via osu DMs if you want to join a server that collects well-mapped unranked 7k charts. It's what I used to improve from literally nothing on 7k to where I am now(I used to be a 4k only player until this January, rank 13k before I switched to 7k).
