Question: How is SDR calculated?
OnosakiHito

Noobita wrote:

Germany A vs Italy-Netherlands postponed to 26th April 18:00 UTC (20:00 CEST)

due to bancho problems and some players unable to play..
Great, I can't play at this time anymore. Yes, I am angry.
Is it possible to change it to 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST)? I need to ask also my teammates.
If not, then nvm......

Edit: My teammates dosen't have time then, so maybe Trashy needs to be my backup for this day... question is just, dose he has time?
arien666
@lepidopodus: Why don't you strike for done matches :3?
Since, 1-2's left matches are 'Malaysia vs PH'(Don't know when to postphoned orz) , 'Germany A vs Italy-Netherlands' , 'Brazil-Chile vs Poland' ;_;

Except for Malaysia and PH, I'll send all PMs for each leaders :3

@Der_Locher: Whoops, fixed.
@anongos: ∑{(total score difference) / (maximum score)}
@OnosakiHito: Uh, contact him ASAP. (orz)

EDIT:
@arien666: Ok, finished matches are in spoilerbox now.

Oh my, guys, please don't make me nervous anymore.
anongos
Total score difference? Maximum Score? I'm sorry if I'm being dense, but I don't know where those values come from. ;_;
Topic Starter
lepidopodus
@^: SDR of Team A = ∑[{∑(Score of player in Team A) - ∑(Score of player in opponent team)} / (Maximum score of the map)]

Well I should have explained this better.
wmfchris
Total score = score of your team per game
Max score = Score attained by Auto (maximum possible)

Take an example
Auto plays 10
Team A plays 6+7+8 = 24
Team B plays 2+9+9 = 20
Total score difference = 24-20 = 4
SDR = 4/10 = 0.4
Therefore SDR change of team A = +0.4
SDR change of team B = -0.4
anongos
Now I understand. Thanks!

lepidopodus
Well, much better explanation, wmfchris!

EDIT: MY vs PH --> round 1-3. What a terrible timetable for staffs.

EDIT2:
Rule was modified slightly.

Rules wrote:

11. During the match, substitution of players is allowed for once, and permission of the referee is needed.
Yeah this can be applied when a player disappears during the match.

1st May seems fine to me (or any weekdays) because I got courses on weekends. I'm sorry I've bring you guys some trouble but I'm quite and unexpectedly busy these month. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Wait I thought you said May 1

Why is it April 29 in the timetable

Please clarify...

Topic Starter

At first HeatKai said 1st of May is unavailable cause mekadon will be unavailable to participate, but as mekadon said it's ok, I guess it's find to set the match in 1st of May, anyone disagrees?

MY vs PH -> 1st May 11:00 UTC (19:00 MST/PST)

Disagreeing if it is held on any weekend orz.

Okay wait meh 29th Apr is Saturday aaaaaaaaaaa ;__;

omg...If this still get happening, my head will have gone blow :o

just in case, I am sure I can't have this one:
Germany A vs Italy-Netherlands: 26th April 18:00 UTC (20:00 CEST)

And of course the match which should be held today.

PS: I accidentally get the chance to have livestream, and got up at 5am, then half of participants doesn't care the match, then the match got postponed again.
IT IS KILLING ME, FOR SURE.
Topic Starter

Well, to be honest I knew that this will happen.
This is their last chance: if they miss again, they will auto-lose.

(My guideline about 2 vs 2 match is, each team can have it only once cause I think they can make a mistake. and Team BR-CL already did that. No more 2 vs 2 match for them, I'm sure about this.)

EDIT:
(Though I think Germany A and IT-NE still have a chance.)

*** Why we've to play vs china in 1.3 now? Before in 1.2, coz they have no time lol, we also have not much time!

I mean, we trained the maps for 1.2 to play vs china, and now we must change our strategy because new maps, that sux!
2nd thing is, should we loose vs both teams from round 1.2, aren't we out? So we can't play in 1.3??!!

I want fairplay and no workaround! I know it's the 1st..but WTH!

Even if you lose everything, you can play until Round 1-3.

I understand your problem cause I'm tired of hearing every players' reasons, but I had not much choice since they wanted that so strongly, and they told me about that early enough to cope with.

I ended up allowing 2 vs 2 match since Team BR-CL played only one matches until then and players of Team HK wanted to play.
But seriously, allowing 2 vs 2 match can be abused too easily, so I'm still against of it. Don't expect that kind match anymore from me.

Due to unexpected situation happend in Malaysia vs Philippines, I needed to take certain measures:

1. Team Malaysia and Team Philippines is banned from #1 Taiko World Cup.
2. Following players of Team Malaysia is banned from TWC till the next one: HeatKai, ffyong, taiko_maniac1811
3. Following players of Team Philippines is banned from TWC till the next one: blacksymbian, caelumangelus, [Zero_One]

If you have anything to complain about this, don't post it here. Just forum-PM me.

I've sent several PM to captains about schedule, and I clearly warned about this, as I remember, and you clearly ignored it.

Group A
This is a bit complicate, so I made another post to explain.

The following is the standard that I stated before.

Tournament Instructions wrote:

 1. More matches won.
 2. Have bigger {(the number of games won) - (the number of games defeated)}.
 3. More games won.
 4. Have bigger ∑{(total score difference) / (maximum score)}.
 5. Winner of the rematch.
1. More matches won.
Team China, Italy-Netherlands, Germany A won 3 times, so this can't determine who will be #1 or #2.

2. Have bigger {(the number of games won) - (the number of games defeated)}
 China:
  China vs Philippines --> 3:1
  China vs Malaysia --> 3:0
  China vs Italy-Netherlands --> 3:1
  China vs Germany A --> 2:3
  Total: Won 11 times, lose 5 times.

 Italy-Netherlands:
  Italy-Netherlands vs Malaysia --> 3:0
  Italy-Netherlands vs Germany A --> 3:1
  Italy-Netherlands vs China --> 1:3
  Italy-Netherlands vs Philippines --> 3:1
  Total: Won 10 times, lose 5 times.

 Germany A:
  Germany A vs Philippines --> 3:0
  Germany A vs Netherlands --> 1:3
  Germany A vs Malaysia --> 3:0
  Germany A vs China --> 3:2
  Total: Won 10 times, lose 5 times.

China won 1 times more, so Team China is #1.

3. More games won.
Both Italy-Netherlands and Germany A won 10 times, so this won't work.

4. Have bigger ∑{(total score difference) / (maximum score)}.
This is what we called SDR.
 Italy-Netherlands:
  Italy-Netherlands vs Malaysia --> +0.879
  Italy-Netherlands vs Germany A --> +0.669
  Italy-Netherlands vs China --> -0.935
  Italy-Netherlands vs Philippines --> +0.352
  Total: 0.965

 Germany A:
  Germany A vs Malaysia --> +0.336
  Germany A vs Italy-Netherlands --> -0.669
  Germany A vs China --> +0.994
  Germany A vs Philippines --> +0.005*1.5(since it was 2v2) --> +0.007
  Total: 0.668

Since Italy-Netherlands have higher SDR, #2 is Italy-Netherlands. So...

Group B
 #1: China
 #2: Italy-Netherlands

If you have something to ask, or think I'm wrong, please contact me immediatly. After the round 2 starts, this can't be reverted even if it's wrong. (Though I triple-checekd.)

If a country is banned from the tournament, what about me and Zekira that is in a banned group on the next round? o_o
Explain plz
The country is only banned from this tournament. That's the same thing as saying that you guys are dropped out. You and Zekira can participate in the next twc. The players that lepi mentioned cannot. So in the next twc, you have to find new players from your country or join another country in order to participate. I don't know if that answers your question well enough.

EDIT: Tentative Timetable for Knockout Round 1
Yowane _ Haku
