Patterns using more than 2 keys at a time honestly are the worst doing a 1-3 setup

I use asdf, but I use it in a probs different way than you, this is gonna sound crazy but I just use my left hand 4 fingers to play with asdf.

For any practical application, there are some slight advantages to using certain key binds over others:
- Using a wider setup like [a][s][5][6] allows your wrists and elbows to align properly, improving your posture and preventing any wrist pain from bending in your fingers, but it isn't much of an issue unless you play several hours a day
- Using the upper row of keys like [q][w][8][9] can possibly increase stamina and vibro ability as your finger travels less distance to register a note, but this can be easily remedied by elevating your keyboard
- Using the lower or middle rows of keys can make curling your fingers more natural, which prevents fingerlocking and discomfort, but those issues can be easily fixed by CURLING YOUR FINGERS
- Numpad can be dangerous in the off chance you turn it off in the middle of a song
- From my experience, using the arrow keys or a non linear setup like [j][i][k][l] can make certain patterns like jackhammering or vibroing awkward, but still doable

i used askl, then switched to qwop for abt two days then went back to askl. ive been through days where i only gained 1 pp, and ive been through days where i gained 24k ranks with askl, askl, its my life and i feel very comfortable with it

If you're a wrist down player, any keybinding where you can use proper desk posture (arms level with keyboard and not resting on wrist) will work well.
I use ef ji. It's a bit of a weird setup but it's very comfortable when you get used to it. It might only be me but the way my hands rested on the keyboard made my pinkies hurt so I switched it from the default.
i used to use "qw op", but i ended up likeing it a tad closer so now i use "we op"
recently changed from qw89 (numpad numbers) to we89 (still numpad numbers), it's fascinating how much of a difference this little bit closer difference can makeSoulFox135 wrote:

i'd recommend you any keybind that straighten your wrist, it would be less stressing for your wrist, and also use a wrist pad.

used to use q w numpad8 numpad9 before, switched back to d f j k since it's more comfortable for me.

i use dfjk but im not good so
mine goes like this az/' probably because of my weird keyboard layout, and the table is so small that i dont even have the space to rest my elbow

Here's the keybinds I used that are useful for me to share:
CV <> as default
NM <> for hitting speedy streams (last used last year lol)
VB <> for both hitting speedy streams and chordjacks (last year too, now used CV <> for balance)
For hitting minijacks that has 2-3 stack notes on each column, (e.g. 11,22,33,44)
Slanted Keybind: FV <L
You can set these keybinds on any row, as long they are the same distance between each keys in case you have ghost keys with these keybinds!

Why is this 3 year old thread still active
I use CVNM, but if you prefer your hands to be more spread out than try to use ZX,. or XC,.
I personally recommend sd'# as for the funny part, sd is sudden death

Really whatever works for you. Usually I like qwop, because it’s high up on the keyboard and gives me space to rest my wrists, but everyone has a different play style.
Some things a recommend is to make sure that your whole hand fits on the keyboard, it’s comfortable for me at least.

It's all about preference lol, just experiment with certain binds until you find one that suits you the most. I used to play on mobile for 6 months before osu and I've been maining GHKL ever since.
imo it's just preference and feel, i play with a high table so my keybinds (zxm,) work very well with my 60% kb
