My left hand shifts to a "claw" position

Hello, I've played osu standard for over 5 years, couple months ago I quit because my fingers couldn't stream anymore, I basically rage quit destroying my tablet so that I won't play anymore lol. I then proceeded to switch to osu mania and I really like it so far except I am facing the same problem all over again. When the map is like over 2.3 stars (I am playing 4k) then the speed and frequency of the keys increases so much that my left hand completely shifts to a "claw" position whereas my right hand is completely normal. I tried doing stretches for both hands before and after gameplay for about a month when I was still playing osu standard but it never helped and I still had that claw position which prevented me from playing like I normally do. I would appreciate any help from people who had similar problem or just any tips in general would be gladly accepted.

Thank you.

I did the opposite thing a while back when I switched to the top row, where it felt weird to play when my fingers were more extended. Having a claw grip is completely normal, so although it might be affecting your scores, it might also be your hand's most comfortable spot. In that case, I've found it best to consciously make yourself play in that form until you eventually get used to it. You could also do the same thing the other way around if you want. Don't worry about the scores you're getting, just focus on getting the position comfortable.

You can also try moving the keyboard around to change how your hands lay on it, but make sure it doesn't overextend your wrists and such.

I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure what will cause injury or not, but still be careful with hand positions. If it starts hurting in a weird way, stop and move to a new form.

If you quit standard because of streams it's only gonna get worse here, just gonna let you know;

From the screenshot you posted it looks like your hands are tensing up too much for some reason, just relax your hands and flow your actions through (idk how to explain this but try achieving some sort of flow state while playing where you are relaxed yet focused at the same time !)

Same, but I don't have any problems with it (but I still try to consciously stop it).

Changing your hand position, e.g. more spread out helps out for me. Your keyboard is really small though so. Just try to experiment with different positions.

There might be another issue though. Naturally, unless you're ambidextrous, you have a weaker and stronger hand. You mentioned that this happens to maps of x and higher difficulty. You could take it that your hand tries to get a more comfortable position because it couldn't handle the difficulty. I confirm just from experience, that this happens. But you probably shouldn't worry about it too much.

And like Delta said, it might just be your comfortable position and you should try getting used to it.
