Why is my release timing (LNs) horrible?

I'm posting this because I can't really identify the cause of this weakness or solve it. + I wanna get better at LNs, which is a rarely focused on skill in vsrgs

Let me elaborate. When I hit the beginning of a LN or a normal note I can easily get a RAINBOW 300 most of the time, making my ratio on songs either 1:1 rainbow:normal 300s , 2:1 , 4:1 and so on. I've almost NEVER gotten a negative ratio (like 1:1.2 rainbow:normal) on non-LN songs. This is because I naturally hit more rainbow 300s than normal 300s. So I don't understand why when it comes to release timing on LN, I hit normal 300s more than rainbow 300s, based on the negative ratio scores I always get on LN focused maps.

Please reply with any potential advice or possible issues on why I can't get MAXs/rainbows on release timings for the life of me.

I was like you, for me, I had to release it a bit earlier than expected. Try playing quaver, you can see if you hit it earlier or later.

i used to be like this, you need to get a feel for release timing by playing some very light/easy ln maps and trying to release on time. look at your replays and look at your ur bar to see if you're hitting early or late, and adjust your release timing to fit. if you're not hitting early or late, and are just hitting all over the place than just keep practicing release timing and releasing on time.

release timing is easy to learn, hard to master. but when i say it's easy to learn, just practice it for around a week or so alongside your normal practice routine and you'll be able to garner good accuracy on LNs with very little effort
