Hello, I'm trying to update my map but the background for the map isn't appearing,
would appreciate help thank you.

are you reuploading the map instead of pressing the "Update to latest version" button?

I am updating it through the submission screen, for me the background is there and latest pending version but on the page for the map the background isn't there

edit: Ok I looked more into it the bg is being uploaded but the actual osu files for the 2 difficulties aren't

edit 2:ok it fixed the problem i had to get rid of some hitsounds i dont know why...
