why are there so many 4k packs with that one 7k map poorly mapped like this:
beatmapsets/1204322#mania/2519587
i dont understand why people map this kind of stuff, why isnt it prohibited to publish this kind of things, i mean the 4k maps are ok i guess but the 7k maps are always shit

i think that the mappers dump their hitsounds into their 7k map, so the 7k map just needs to have enough notes to have all the hitsounds. some sets are like this but with one shitty 9k map, etc. the 7k isnt meant to be played

isnt that just a hitsound diff? the mappers would make one difficulty, hitsound it, then copy that to other maps, they usually arent meant to be played. and that map isnt even ranked or loved - there's nobody policing unranked maps, because there are way too many to do that and new mappers wouldnt ever get a chance to learn if "bad maps" were banned from being submitted somehow. I could upload a 4k map to pending thats just 700 bpm quad jackhammers, and noone would care - noone would play it, but it wouldnt get removed if it doesnt break beatmap submission rules.

It's not ranked (yet?), so the quality is still questionable. Why don't you try to mod or give feedback directly to the map instead of create a post here, so the map can be better :D

Hi, former BN here

The link you sent was a hitsound difficulty. It was not designed to be played - rather, it was designed to only contain notes which represented hitsounds. Then we tend to use a program to copy the hitsounds over to every other difficulty.

This is done to make the hitsounds much easier to check for both the mapper and the BN. They will always be removed before the map is nominated/qualified.

In other words: Don't play any 7K maps that have the word 'hitsound' in them, because it's probably a hitsound difficulty which was, again, not designed to be played.

In the rare case where the hitsound difficulty doesn't have the word 'hitsound' in it, check really quickly in the editor and if you only see notes which correlate with a hitsound + blatantly unplayable sections with notes on the same column only, it's probably a hitsound difficulty.

Hitsound difficulties tend to be 7K but they can range from 5-10K depending on the hitsounder, so watch out for them.

I hope this explanation helped!
