Having filters like "From new to old", can help at topics like "Tournaments" so people will see which are relevant and which are not.

I don't understand what you mean. Threads are already shown "from new to old".

Maybe he mean sort by date created, not by last replied

Alright that makes sense. Though considering it will be different than the rest of the subforums it might be a bit disorienting.
