Can you check which zip it's supposed to be? I tried to search for it after having them all and I couldn't find it.
It's not in december 2013, not in januari 2014 and also not in february 2014

I think your your filesystem/computer/anti-virus/storage... is having problem. You may want to check your disk for errors/bad-sectors/... first.
Then try re-extracting them (I think you are missing 2019s beatmaps so try extracting the 2019s first).

Almost all map you listed should be in 2019-12, or in 2020.
Except for the last two, 183467 in 2018-08, and 106499 in 2018-04.

And yes, these packs are made from their ranked date, not their submitted date.

May I know that for the taiko sets include the ones where it have more than 2 game modes ranked on the same song? What I mean is like how certain maps have both STD and Taiko maps come together and not just made exclusively for taiko.

Does the taiko ones in google drive include those that comes from these kind of maps?

Those mapsets will be included in all of those packs.
Since we're collecting the original *.osz, not extract them and make a new package for multiple modes.
If you download from multiple mode, when you add them in the game, it'd overwrite becuz they're having the same name, at which won't increase the number of beatmaps nor dundant files.

That's not an issue.

I actually asking because I'm worried that those kind of beatmaps WON'T be included. I thought each modes in those files are for that mode exclusively. I want to have as many taiko maps as possible.

Are there any updates for 2018 counts? I'm coming up with the following numbers after importing everything from drive:

osu! - 8701 (6 extra)
taiko - 1504 (5 extra)
catch - 709 (5 extra)
mania - 737
total - 11651 (16 extra)

In my process of figuring out where some of these came from, I reduced the extra maps down from 24 to 16, these two maps seem bugged due to what I assume is a mapper changing their username when map was in qualified? (edit: both of these only got bugged after importing, the files seem to be correct)

I'll check later today.
Can you try import those *.osz in-game, typing "mode=osu", "mode=taiko", "mode=catch", "mode=mania" and check the number for me. Since there can be maps with multiple modes that would be included in multiple packs, but I only counted number of beatmaps within that mode only.
I'll edit this reply later after I check.

Edit: sorry, too busy today :(, I will do that tomorrow or next week, probably...

I'm importing the maps one month at a time and just scrolling down Date Added making sure not to import anything else in between, so I don't think there should be any extras included.

Please don't use osu!direct to check if all maps have been downloaded. It still shows maps that have been downloaded even if you don't check the option.


If a moderator or staff member sees this, can we remove this format and go back to how it was before (the exact date first and not how many days, months or years ago it was)? This is a useless feature and I might make some mistakes by hovering the wrong date (submitted instead of ranked)

I'll upload new packs later this month. Torrents won't be done anytime soon.

P/s: for anyone got problems (becuz not all of my devices encountered this problem) (basically locale things):
If you download 2007 or 2013 packs:
2007:
Mapset 1: DISCO"star"PRINCE, plz rename the folder by editing the "star" to space, _, or anything Latin-based. Also the *.osu files inside, then F5. You can also change the *.osz name, open it with WinRAR/7-zip, edit file name inside, then import to osu! later.
Mapset 104: パリジョナ大作戦, plz rename the folder to "Parijona Daisakusen" (the *.osu inside is okay), or the *.osz
Mapset 106: 安心感, rename the folder to "Anshinkan" and the *.osu inside. (Or the .osz and the *.osu in archive).
Mapset 93: Shichiten Hakki"star"Shijou Shugi.osz, the way to fix is the same as mapset 1.
2013:
Mapset 63240: TSU·BA·SA (TV Size), same as mapset 1.

General Information / FAQ

Where are the packs?
Scroll down, the links are at the bottom of this post.

How to get the packs with torrent? What is torrent?
  1. Get a torrent client like qBitorrent or Deluge.
  2. Download any torrent file you want from the list below on this post. You will get a file ending with ".torrent".
  3. Open it. If you have your torrent client installed, it will open it and start downloading the pack. You will get the pack which is a ".rar" file. You will need a program like WinRar, WinZip or 7-Zip to open it.
  4. Open this file. You will see all the beatmaps of the month and mode you have downloaded.
  5. Extract the mapset you want or all of them in a folder and then open them. You can also drag and drop them straight to your osu client if you're adding a lot of maps.
  6. There's nothing to do in the songs folder. Once you have extracted the mapsets from the .rar files, you just have to open those mapsets or drag and drop them in your client, just as if you had downloaded them from the osu beatmap page. Do not copy anything in the songs folder, your osu client will take care of that.

Where is last month pack?
I don't have a fixed schedule for the uploads, sometimes I do it as soon as the month is over, sometimes I take more time. I do things when I can.

Where is 20xx torrent? (when said year is not over)
The year is not over so the torrent is not done yet.

Are all the ranked maps there?
I used osu!direct to check that I had everything but I've had problems with it so I can't be sure that 100% of the ranked maps are there.
There might be a few missing maps at most but I think that 99% of the maps are there.

Does this include maps that can't be downloaded on the site anymore?
Yes.

Is it with or without the videos?
Videos are included on maps that have them. I am not interested in doing the same thing without the videos.

Does it include loved maps? Please add loved maps.
Loved maps are basically unranked maps that have a ranking leaderboard. Nonetheless, they are still unranked maps that can be ranked in the future. Therefore it would require to remove them from the loved list and then add them to the ranked list, which I am not interested in doing.

"This map has been ranked on the 1st of December but is in the November pack | on the 30th of November but is in the December pack"
For all the maps ranked from 2007 to 2017, I've used the time from the old website (UTC+9 if I'm not wrong). For all the maps after 2017, I will be using my local time (UTC+4). So if you notice errors like these, please do not report them unless you see the mapset in both months. Some maps will be in a different month depending on the timezone.

Can you NOT quoting the long original post?
Try adding link to a download manager, or select 1 file at a time to download (at most folder of a year), since you'll have to wait GD to zip them and send to you, and I remember it'd stopped at some point (if total filesize too big)
Try downloading via Torrent or OneDrive mirrors as well.

ah yes, the ultimate disappointment, i'm missing 1 taiko map from 2019 and there's a good chance i have it downloaded, just messed up importing it into collection.

All the other counts are accurate but I got 1867 maps for taiko instead of 1868. I have 558 sets once I double checked, so that's correct, I guess I'll be going down through maps again to find which one I'm missing. I'll update when finished~

edit: Problem solved! I realized that since I started this project in the middle of 2019, I probably had some map that became ranked, but didn't update when I added in the new version, and then didn't fit into its proper place in Date Added. I found the map right up at the top, since I originally started with only my unranked maps in this install (and this one became ranked)

thank you so much for keeping up with this project, looking forward to 2020 when that comes!

Hi i just finished downloading all the ranked maps and now i'm deleting all the videos to make some space ^^, i did the .mp4, .avi, .m4p, .flv and .wmv is there any more extension i can delete ? thanks :)

If you're using Windows, press F3 in Songs folder and type "kind:=video".

Atm, not yet, we're pretty busy rn, and we keep priority, adding torrent tracker to older torrents, making sure no mistake in 2019 to create a torrent file first.
And if you need 2020 that much, in OneDrive mirror, there are temporary packs for Jan, Feb, Mar of 2020 that contains all 4 modes. Which would be removed and updated after new packs come out.

How are you guys able to do this? Did you guys write a script to run through every single one of these maps? This is really impressive and if it contains over 90% of all the maps ever made that got ranked on osu, that's something else... thank you for doing all of this!!

Actually they're downloaded manually :(
Script can me made if we crawl through every maps (including some sh*t maps, or just templates on the site), and would be easy at most checking ranking categories (ranked, loved, pending, ...). It's kinda hard to get them with ranked date. (Actually it can be done, but we don't have the ability to do so atm)
Well. We do use a script or do it manually when packaging.

i have a problem. i downloaded the torrent (osu! 2018 more specifically) file and all and made it to the part where i need to extract the rar. when i tried extracting 2018 february, march and april it gave pop up with a red dot with an x inside saying "this file is either unknown or damaged". when i opened january 2018 it only showed 1 beatmap and winrar itself gave a pop up saying "unexpected end of archive" whatever that means. when i opened may 2018 the same as january happened except all the maps were there. i didnt open any more cause i have no idea wtf is going on and if im being stupid and doing sometyhing completely wrong

I think that you are using an old version of WinRAR, which doesn't support the new RAR5 format. You can download the latest version of WinRAR at https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

does osu! compress files or are some of the maps messed up? cuz after i download and extract all the files into the song folder it adds about 200 GB but then after i open osu! and let it detect and take care of all the new songs it removes about 100 GB in the folder ... if that's normal or somethings messed up and its removed songs that don't work or something

The *.osz themselves are zip files with their extension name changed. osu! compresses the maps only when you export it. When you import them into the game, it extracts them, so the size should be bigger.

There are maps that got duplicated (if you downloaded more than 1 mode), because those mapsets are in multiple archives.
So when you added in to the game, the duplicated one got removed.

But 100GB gone... I think that's a problem. Shouldn't be that much, even I removed all the videos, it only reduced from ~200GB to ~140GB.

There is a new problem come from osu! itself that it can't process beatmaps file (*.osu) with non-ASCII characters.


So it will affect to these mapsets:

The first fours listed above will got their mapsets missing in-game, and the rest will make 1 or more difficulties missing.

Solution:

For people who already owned the beatmaps and have imported in the game:
  1. 1. Close your game.
  2. 2. Go into your Songs folder, search for that mapsets folder (find easily with mapsetID), rename the *.osu to a proper ASCII character. (Won't affect the data, since osu! processes metadata from what's written in it, not filename)
  3. 3. Go back to your song select ingame and F5.
Another way, so that you don't want to F5 your whole beatmaps directory:
  1. 1. Find that map in Song Select.
  2. 2. Click on any diff that is not the diff with the problem (if you accidentally click on that diff, the game will reprocess your beatmaps database).
  3. 3. F3 (or Right-click), choose Delete, and delete all difficulties.
  4. 4. Go to your Recycle Bin, Ctrl+X (cut) those folders to somewhere else.
  5. 5. Rename the *.osu to a proper ASCII character.
  6. 6a. (Your game is still opening) Move those folders into your Songs folder, then F5 ingame (it will only process the newly added ones, not reprocessing the whole database)
  7. 6b. (Alternative, safer, but much complicated) Go into the folder of EACH MAPSETS, Ctrl+A to select all files (BG, SB, hitsound, songs, beatmaps, ...), add them into a *.zip archive (zip, no rar, no 7z, ..., and use Deflate method), rename those *.zip to *.osz, then drag-and-drop them into the game.
For people who have the map packs, but didn't import them into the game yet:
Open those *.osz with WinRAR, 7-zip, WinZip, ... and rename those *.osu

If you don't have those beatmaps yet:
If you downloaded the *.osz directly from the website, you will still have to open the *.osz with WinRAR/7-zip/... to rename those *.osu files.

Atm, we won't repack any packs, since it will also affect the torrent activites.

It's a SFX archive though, I don't see why it can't be opened.
It's included the lib as well, so you don't have to install things that support zstd (like 7-zip ZS or WinZip).

I haven't checked 2020 yet.
But if 2007-2019, it would be around roughly 200GB after importing them into the game (the packs are about ~150GiB I suppose?).
After searching and deleting all the videos, Songs folder became nearly 130GB.

I have all Ranked + Loved beatmaps till 05:36 (UTC) 16/09/2020 (downloaded Jul and Aug from OneDrive link and manually every maps in Sep) and only have 98818 beatmaps.

Well, it's not an exact number, since there're some diffs added that I cloned from the original ones to practice OD10, and also minus a bit of non-loved diffs (Loved mapsets with only SOME of the diffs got ranked).

Confirmed can be reproduced on my computer.
They're all files with ~20KB size (and 1 with 1.3MB and 1 with 9.4MB, but should be 16.8MB and 11.1MB, maybe Elessey failed downloading them and still kept them.

from your beatmap pack in November 2007 has only one diff,
while the website says it has two diffs

If you're using Windows, press F3 in Songs folder and type "kind:=video".
Sorry for mentioning you again after 7 months, but recently, I've found a new thing on some different computers from my friends, that *.ogg and *.oga also got treated as video by Windows.
Some beatmaps hitsounds use *.ogg instead of *.wav for low file size, and still retain the low-latency. And also some maps use *.ogg instead of *.mp3 for audio becuz how opus codec is way superior.
So after Ctrl+A when typing "kind:=video", make sure to unselect the *.ogg files.
But you probably deleted them all. Very sorry for the inconvenience, I haven't found this at that time. And my Windows version doesn't recognize them as video, so I didn't notice. You may have deleted the hitsounds and the music files of some maps.

You can also replace/rename the mapset in 2007-10 (osu!) pack.
This only happens to the osz file, not the osu files inside, the website already fixed this one, just not the map inside your pack, so I didn't state it in the ASCII related problem.

The first 2 maps, you are checking the map with the submitted date, not the ranked date.
Those 5 mapsets should be in 2018-05, 2018-05, 2019-10, 2019-10, 2019-10 packs.
I'll update this message when I downloaded them from the cloud and check.
They should all be there, because I also have an osu! client to store all the maps from the packs, and when I type those mapsetID, they're all there.
UPDATE:
The last 3 are all in 2019-10 (osu!)
Waiting for the first 2.

Hi! I'm a big fan of this project and I was wondering if I could provide direct download links. Currently, Google Drive/OneDrive are unreliable in zipping/downloading all of the maps, and a direct download link would be much more reliable/faster.

For example, beatmapsets/44527#osu/139446 is a beatmap that can't download online ,and I even can't search out this beatmap by beatmap ID or beatmap name.How can you find this kind of maps?

The packs are mostly made after they're ranked for maximum of instantly to 6 months (depending if Elessey is busy or not), so they were still available. Or even if it wasn't, you can download from either bloodcat, or BeatConnect.
Sorry, but I can't post all links of maps with those statement, because doing that would take a lot of time.
But you can guess that they're all from KONAMI/BENAMI arcade games like idx, iidx, SDVX, or some OP/ED anime songs like MIIRO, or some big hits like Despacito, ...

What kind of problems? If it told you that can't be downloaded atm, then make a copy to your Drive, then download from there.
GD limits downloads of each file like 1000 times per 24h.

Well... I just find that I have 15964 sets and 57923 maps in 2007-2018 (Standard)
In your data,total sets is 15964 and total maps is 57912
The last sets in 2018 is 754302 right?(with UTC+4)
Maybe some sets have duplicate diffs? I really don't know...

Even if there are multiple files of 1 diff, when you import them ingame, it only shows 1, just one. It's just that you have a/some redundant file(s) taking up space.
There are NONE duplicate mapsets or beatmaps (difficulties) if you just downloaded 1 game mode.
If you download multiple game modes, just put them in together, and the mapsets that have multiple game modes will overwrite each other, so no duplicate.
And 57923 vs. 57912, it can either be the above problem (counted before ASCII-related prob detected), or you counted the other game modes in it. (Because there are sets with multiple game modes, and the stats only count "standard" diffs)

I used "mode=o status=r"then it shows 57923 lol.And I'll check these maps whenever I have time.

In fact, I downloaded these maps through osu!api. And some sets are CORRUPTED.(I had found 2 sets have duplicated diffs,for their filename is ACTUALLY NOT SAME) So I have to make sure how many sets have this problem.

NEW NOTE:By checking sets 1-1005 ,the number of maps is 57914 now ,still 2 duplicate diffs to FIND OUT.

If you find any, feel free to report them here.

I haven't found anything like that in the past, except that there are time mappers upload package with "test" (or something similar) diffs that included in the *.osz file, which doesn't show up on the web, like the template of the beatmaps
But it would be unranked, and doesn't show up when using "status=r", just 1 redundant *.osu file when searching via Windows Explorer...

A GOOD NEWS HERE: I just found set 1055 have 2 duplicate diffs(osu!api ERROR), after deleting these diffs, now I have 57912 maps too, and I more and more believe that the EXACT NUMBER in standard ranked maps in 2007-2018 is 57912 (15694 sets), you can recheck it whenever you have time.

I can post two numbers here(only for standard):
The number of sets that can't be downloaded ONLINE:260 sets
The number of APPROVED maps:395 maps
Also make some contrution to this project xd.

By the way ,the last set in 2018 is 754302 right?(With UTC+4)

Yes, if using the old.ppy.sh web, then the last set of 2018 would be beatmapsets/879193#osu/1865037

I downloaded ALL STANDARD RANKED MAPS now, and the newest number of maps is 74533,(19998 sets ,last set is 1260377)

RAR is just popular because it doesn't charge you after your trial period has ended. And there are many options out there that is actually free and open-source. Few examples below, in my osu! forum signature.
And RAR is only better at recovery record thingy, compression ratio and extracting time, meh, zstd or lzma2 is superior.

EDIT: Uploaded *.7z files for 2020-11 (temp, until Elessey uploads), will need below programs to extract.
