I've been working on a very long marathon map for awhile now, but it says the file size is too long to upload to osu! Should I compress the file, or split it into parts?

ideas

1) lower audio bitrate
2) lower custom hitsound bitrate
3) remove custom hitsound bitrate and have players download them instead through a file sharer like MEGA
4) minimize bg
5) cut into parts

I've lowered the audio bitrate to 80kbps or so, and it's still too big.
I have no custom hitsounds at the moment
I have no background at the moment.
I'll try to lower it again, but I fear it will be too bit compressed.
Currently it's at 38mb's reducing it by 55%

Just how long is your beatmap?

Avoid lowering the audio bitrate to 80kbps as it would sound terrible, like actually terrible.

Assuming you mapped a really long map, the upload limit would be capped at 100MB so I don't excatly understand how you still couldn't upload even when you reduced it to 38mb?

The Beat map is roughly 55 1/2 minutes long. And the only way I could get an uploadable audio file was by compressing it to 32kbps. It actually sounds like it's from a radio underwater

yeah split it into parts. not even Monstrata with this map can help the case.
