Farewell Cheaters #2

Hello.
There was a crash, then they showed me that I am in the list of cheaters. May be lag in the anti-clude either framed me, or something I do not understand.
Just delete my account (or reset my scores, or ban me by ip, or ban me otherwise) and I will register a new (or not)
Thank you for your attention.
P.S. Tell me, please, about my "cheats". What the cheats I "used"?

Making multiple accounts is a bannable offense. You modified your osu! installation to cheat from the 18th of December until the 16th of January (today).

Let me confirm that Moloktove used a hack to remove the flashlight completely (unlike what he stated above) and has used it since December 14th until yesterday. I actually don't accept the above as admitting to cheating, so unless you properly admit you will still be banned.

I find it strange that people don't even bother to apologise here. Do you really think it is your right to not be banned? Any sane gamemaster would not give you a second chance.

although, FL cheats in Taiko would give a massively unfair advantage and it'd be pretty obvious if you were hacking, unless everybody knows you're a pro

Apparently, you can "legally cheat" in Taiko. Get an extra computer by your side and bingo, get the multipliers of hidden, hardrock and flashlight at the price of a few 100s and some money (in case you don't own more than one computer).

Unfortunately, it's rampant in higher level play and also extremely hard to prove. Except for one or two cases involving a touchscreen. (For standard)

Actually by playing alone you have a great advantage since you have two hands, but you can't do streams so whatever...

Daru, thing about touchscreens is that when you see some touchscreen player replays, you gonna see some strange movements, like teleporting/VERY fast moving cursor in strange ways, it almost looks like a bot, but it isn't, you can watch Bikko's replays to see that.

I wasn't saying that touchscreens were illegal, I was saying that using a touchscreen will make you much more suspicious if you use HD+FL.

I dont see why you would apologize for cheating lol. Its a game if you get banned you just make another account.

i played the song for the first time, and is not that hard, and if she played long enough could learn it. and just because the song doesn't appear on the profile with too many plays remember there is always offline playing.

You say that as if it wouldn't be painfully simple to bypass this and just make another account that nobody will be suspicious of right now. Realistically, there's not much you could do about it.

I'd need to know, what's the point if people using hack in this game for example hack for high scores/ flashlight or something like that
to get more multiple scores for the rank. Isn't that called for showing off? and making other people to get entertain for it? But some of
noobest player are doing like that, though

Currently applying bans and resets for this batch of cheaters. Thanks to dvorak for help with banning.

Have finally got a pretty decent system up for handling reports and cheaters in a more timely fashion, so expect faster responses from now on!

No, it's because they cheated after admitting to it (#1), and after pleading by email that they would cheat again (#2), and are now using a multi-account to post in this thread.

lol, you get a second chance, not a third chance.

Though honestly, if osu knows you're cheating somehow automatically, can't osu just refuse the score? And if osu doesn't know that you're cheating automatically and has to rely on top scores, how could you ever not know that the hack was still on?

Automatically denying scores would make it much easier for cheaters to modify their cheats to bypass the protection.

The scores are linked to the players, obviously. It still requires manual intervention to take action, though.

thats the point, there needs to be a comment bar on the report feature so you dont serch blindly how the player is cheating.

It's just a game. People are bound to cheat. I'm just trying to say that's it's impossible to put an end to it. Still, the report system may have its flaws but its better than nothing. Keep up the good work pepps.

I stress that you guys focus on enjoying yourself, rather than dwelling on the cheaters. They probably get a kick out of frustrating you guys, so instead just ignore them. Report them, then ignore them ;).

I think its important to note that we the regular users of osu! do not handle cheaters/score reports. That's (probably) left up to the few admins we have (as it rightly should be). I'm pretty sure they know the current system and will make improvements based on their needs. Since we can't use the system, how can we say what to do to improve it?

hey i just wanted to ask why ignacio was banned ?
In the spreadsheet it says in comments "Freddo".. i guess then he was banned for multi account? If that is so ... i think that account was never used (joined 2 july from 2010, and last visit 2 july from 2010).

Can we see the proof then? Ignacio was #74 or around so at the time of banning, why would he need a flashlight hack anyways?

I have heard rumors, and had people confront me with the fact, that I reported Ignacio after my battle with him on this map.

This is not true.

I do not resort to witch-hunting when I am bested. I resort to improving myself, which I did. I am surprised and disappointed to find that Ignacio is a cheater, I do not approve of cheaters ruining the fun of the game.

* He wanted to do better at FL mod.
* He was experimenting and got carried away.
* Someone sharing his PC installed the cheat and he started using it and couldn't stop.

This is a multi account, I was shysiima, I got banned and I created this, look the hystorical statistics





Also...

There are TOO many people that enter in a friend account to rank for him.

I know of more people, but... good luck !

We are (chilean team) very sad about this problem because we can't get a new back up for owc :(
by the way, this guys were banned just for flashlight cheat?? (are there another reasons? this is my doubt)
