Welcome to Yaz’s Summer Cup 2019!
Current Title Holder: Bubbleman
- This tournament is a osu!standard, 1v1, international, Double Elimination tournament.
- This tournament will consist of 128 players
- Matches will be Head to Head, with Score V2 as the scoring system used.
- There will be no rank limit on signups, however if we reach over 124 signups we will take the top 124 players in terms of BWS
- The top 4 players from YSC 2018 (Bubbleman, Yaong, Doomsday, Apraxia) will be given a bye from qualifiers if they choose to participate in this tournament.
- This tournament is a no rank limit tournament, however we will take the top 124 players in terms of BWS. (This depends on how many of the top 4 sign up for the tournament. For example, if we get 2 out of the top 4 sign up, we will take the top 126 players)
- Anyone who does sign up must be able to play maps with a difficulty of at least 5*
- Host/Co-Hosts/Referees/Schedulers/Mappool Selector/Testers are NOT permitted to sign up for the tournament.
- All players must treat staff and other participants with a high level of respect, any kind of mistreatment in a match or on the discord (this includes extreme toxicity, racism, homophobia) will result in a BAN and the player will be BLACKLISTED from participating in future installments of this tournament.
- Where rules do not prevail, common sense shall. The administration has explicit discretion to apply their judgement on this as they see fit.
- Each stage will be held on a Saturday/Sunday. Schedules and mappools will be released on the Monday/Tuesday before that stage is due to happen, to allow for reschedules.
- Reschedules will be allowed if both players agree on a time and provide PROOF of the agreed reschedule to Hosts/Co-Hosts/Scheduling team.
- Please be aware that reschedules must be submitted before 23:59UTC FRIDAY before a round is due to happen. Reschedules beyond this point will only be accepted on a case by case basis in extenuating circumstances.
- In order for your registration to count, you must fill out the form provided, join the discord and change your nickname on discord to your osu! username
- Players will play 5 Qualifier maps (2 Nomod, 1 Hidden, 1 HardRock, 1 Doubletime) TWICE
- The better of the 2 scores for each map will be counted towards the final qualfier score.
- FAILED SCORES COUNT in qualifiers.
- Players are free to leave the qualifiers at any point, however any maps that a player does not play will not be counted towards their final score.
- The Top 60 (depending on top 4 signups) qualifying scores will make it into the bracket stage.
- Seeding for knockouts will be as follows: 2018’s Top 4 will automatically have the top 4 seeds. The remaining spots will be ordered by qualifier results.
- Bracket matchups will be assigned as #1 vs #64, #2 vs #63, etc.
- Referees will create the lobby and invite players 10 minutes before the match is due to start. (YSC: (Player1) vs (Player2))
- If a player fails to show up by the time their match is due to start, a 10 minute timer will be started.
- Any player that fails to show up during the 10 minute timer will forfeit the match and a default win will be awarded to the other player.
- Failure to attend a match without a valid reason may result in being BLACKLISTED from participating from future tournaments.
- The referee will have host at ALL TIMES during the match. The only exception are for picking warmups.
- Warmups of 4:00 or less will be allowed beginning in Round of 32
- Players will have one ban in the Round of 64 and Round of 32 and two bans thereafter. Players are allowed to ban from the same mappool.
- Players will roll ONCE. The winner of the roll selects first or second pick or ban, and the loser of the roll selects from the remaining options.
- Players will have 90 seconds to ban a map. Failure to ban a map after this time will result in a loss of a ban.
- Players will have 90 seconds to pick a map. Failure to pick a map after this time will result in the pick being passed to their opponent.
- In the case of a disconnection, common sense will be applied: if proof exists of the disconnected player's score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), the player will get the point; if the disconnection occurred in the first few seconds, the map will be replayed.
. - Any attempts to stall the match, show toxicity or spam during the match will result in a warning. Failure to comply with this rule again will result in a point being awarded to another player.
- In a Freemod pick, both players must choose a mod (HD/HR/EZ) or a combination of these mods.
- EZ scores will be multiplied by 2, making them equal to a nomod score.
- FAILED SCORES WILL BE COUNTED
- If there is a tie score on a map, the map will be nullified for the duration of the match and cannot be re-picked. This will NOT affect the pick order.
- If there is a tie, the tiebreaker will be played to determine the winner of that match (mods are available during the tiebreaker).
- At the end of the match, you are free to leave the lobby.
