Lol? Yesterday, in Spanish we had eliminatory of players, and no of them played (RocknRolla,Grisuh,Wishy22,lota78 and Metro), only (Grisuh, RocknRolla and Wishy22 in the last map).

But is the same, because they did not play.

I don't want this to turn into a flamewars, but the eliminatory stuff date was announced with no more than 30hs before we had to play, most people didn't even knew they had to play. Plus Bancho wasn't working well apparently, so players like violentt and grisuh got constantly kicked from the server. Therefore, the team ended up being made by only 3 somewhat good players, and other 3 that can't yet play insane maps easily, being this the case, I think it's dumb for that team to play, which is why I offered you today to play on the team I made up.

I do know that you are probably better than me and some other members of my team in some kind of beatmaps, but since this isn't a 1v1 tournament, I'm offering you, too, to take your team to play against mine, so we can see which would be the best for our country. Sadly, the tryouts we played yesterday sucked, we started about 40 minutes later, and got to wait an eternity because half of the players that wanted to play didn't even bothered to download the beatmaps we were going to play (Beuchi announced them in the official topic at the Spanish sub-forum). Even when I understand that Beuchi wanted to do all this stuff ASAP, it was way too soon, saying 2 days ago we had to play yesterday was ridiculous because of obvious reasons.

So i talked with both, seems that we found a compromise .. waiting for new Argentina line-up



That's for all : Try to make the best team that you can, don't choose just for sympathy

and as I said in first post, this Cup is a good opportunity for to have fun for everyone

After viewing the previous posts,despite some country can't organize enough people to form a team,i think the big challenge for this tournament is the time zone,unlike World cup,we can't get the players together,for example,China's official time is GMT +8,and America is GMT-5,which means there is a big time difference between those countries...but,i think you can overcome those diffiiculties and hold a successful tournament :) :)
P.S,i just wonder why Japanese players still don't form a team,you know,they can organize 3 strength teams...

Actually i'm trying my best asking japanese people that understand english, but seems that they don't care, Peppy will make the announce soon, if they will not join is not my problem (same for Russia) I informed all (or almost) communities about this cup, they are not obliged to join

EDIT : I see people that don't join because "We can't win there are pro players" . nonono guys you didn't understood nothing of this cup and of the spirit of the game, this is a funny tournament, I'm joining thinking to play for fun not to win (like a lot of other players). Don't give up.

You could just seed imba teams like China, Korea, Netherlands and such and build up another tournaments where average teams play, and then like if you seed 5 teams, the 3 best teams of the other tournament get to play the pro one, that'd be cool. They did this at the biggest DotA tournaments, so normal teams had a chance to achieve something.

Timetables and dates
The Cup will start 21st february
All timetables will be announce

Informations
The first stage of the cup will be divided for continent (example Europe country vs Europe country, etc.. etc..)
All matches will be a knockout
We are looking for 32 countries, if there will be not enough countries, cup's stages will be modeled for the number reached
Each country will be represented from a "captain" who will choose the members of the team and will inform players about timetables
Captains will be choosen by language specific topics or discussions in IRC specific language channels made by trusted players/staffers
Teams will be made up of 4 players and 2 backups in case one or more players are not available to play
Each round will be given a list of 15 Beatmaps chosen by a staff member of the tournament (a non-player), countries can choose one of these beatmaps to play for the match (I recommend you prepare another choice in case your opponent chooses the same map), We will make beatmap packs containing the 15 beatmaps for every match

Match Informations
The matches will be played in a private room created by one of two captains
Settings will be osu! standard, 4 vs 4 players, Team vs mode and win condition for score
The country that will get best total score (Total score of all players) will win the map
The only mod accepted is No Video
In the case of a 1-1 draw, there will be a default thirs map to play that will be decided by the cup staff
When a team fails, the other one automatically wins

Rules
One of two captains must post the link of the multiplayer history in this thread after the match, you can find it when you join the room into the chat (Example : http://puu.sh/QiG)
If a team will not be present at the match, will be considered like a 2-0 for the other one (teams are obliged to wait the other country for at least 15 minutes)
Every form of cheats will be punished with the disqualification of the team

You are free to export your replay after the match and send it on the forum or to Lunah on PM for the video of the cup

About Thailand, I talked with regenz and orioncomet some days ago. Apparently she and SiRiRu won't be able to join because they're too busy with school, but I think regenz is trying to get people to create a team. Let's hope they finally join!! :)

So, actually most of good players don't want join because Korean joins too and they think "we can't win" , but i think there are other players that want play.

Added 2 new informations that can help players about timetables :

All matches will be played during in this time slot "15:00 ~ 22:00" and in these days "Thursday - Sunday"
Every Monday all timetables will be posted

There rules are for all GMT

So you mean we have to play from 15hs to 22hs GMT? Like if I'm GMT -2 then it'd be 13hs-20hs.

I thought he meant first round when countries from one continent match themselves. So for example Korea matches China in 15-22 Asian time and Poland matches Germany in 15-22 European time. At least I understood it in that way.

So imba teams get eliminated on the first rounds playing against themselves... I insist, pro teams should be seeded, every tournament in the world has pro teams already seeded, generally using as a basis a previous tournament, but since we don't have one here, I guess Lunah and his staff should just pick 4 teams and get them seeded (China, Korea, Netherlands and Poland maybe?).

You didn't understand, don't care about GMTs the timetable 15:00 - 22:00 is for all.


I mean example : China vs Japana (China GMT+8 - Japan GMT +10) the match will be 19:00 for China - 21:00 For Japan
