I've actually never had a crush before. If I have one though, hmm... Idk what I'd show off to her to be honest. I don't really have any significant talent or skill to be proud of.

I guess I'd just give up from the beginning. I don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship with anyone anyways.

Same question.

Goddamn it, ninja'd.

That's a really broad question. If you're talking about personal values, then I would value determination, order, discipline and decisiveness.

--------------------------------------

Same question.
ERA Puzzle
Humility and the ability to be decisively humble. What do I mean by decisively humble? The ability to recognize where you should admit your mistakes and where you should uphold what you believe.

Maybe a better term then would be self-understanding.

Q: Same question. I like this question.
payney
Personally, I value honesty and kindness above anything else.

Honesty is important to me because any time I’ve lied it’s gotten me into a situation that’s really hard to pull out of. I feel that when you’re being dishonest with someone, it puts a mark on your reputation that’s very difficult to shake. I understand why people would lie to spare someone’s feelings but it’s easier for people to handle the truth ASAP than to deal with the lie, and then the truth later.

Kindness is important to me because there’s no reason not to be kind. A recent example I think of was when I was in the car with my dad, and we were at a drive thru window, and the lady in the window is handing my dad his change back and she accidentally drops it. She apologized instantly, but my dad decides to make a huge fuss about it to the point where he calls the manager over a few dropped nickels. There’s no reason to be rude over something so small. Just saying “thank you“ to somebody holding the door for you at the bank can make their day.

That was a lot longer than I expected this to be.

Kind of in the same ballpark, what are some traits that you see in other people that instantly make you like them?
Journal
A good sense of humor.

If they can make me break out in smiles and uncontrollable giggles, it's an automatic like.

In your opinion, what makes a person romantically attractive?
ERA Puzzle
Knowing that they're passionate about something.

Achromalia
i don't know.

romance is kinda complicated, i guess.

i feel like i lack the depth in understanding it as i kinda just... don't really feel romantic attraction, it seems.

...

the closest sample i have is a crush i had a few years ago. it's hard to really tell what it was that made her seem like someone i'd want to be around. it could be our shared interests, and our shared talents in music and art. it could be her optimism, or it could be her general demeanor, how she acts in general. but it's difficult to pinpoint with certainty.

even then, i doubt it was romantic attraction.

more or less, it was a desperation for someone i can cling to for happiness in a life where i was just... tired of everything.

what's the most depressing thing you can think of? anything that truly adds to the nothingness at the pit of your being?
ERA Puzzle
Doing nothing. I'm completely built off this idea of constantly improving and creating things. If I'm not doing that, I'm just. I get so depressed. Stuff feels really empty. Like, whats the point? Just fucking sitting there, accomplishing nothing. I'm a human being. Human beings are in a way meant to improve. Human beings are meant to compete. They're meant to strive in an environment and create things to survive, work to survive, work to succeed. There's no sense in denying what I am, and if I'm not doing anything productive, I'm denying that. I'm destroying that fundamental aspect of my humanity. I cease to become human. It's awful. I hate it.

Same question
Achromalia
shit. i'm not certain what'd be most depressing to think of in my case, but...

...yeah.

pretty much the same here.

i hate this feeling of inertia. doing nothing, living the same life constantly, repeating everything.

it's what i dealt with back then. i was putting up with a shitty environment and couldn't do a whole lot else but watch Youtube ceaselessly with my laptop or tablet, or attempt to make music on a desktop computer despite knowing noone will ever be able to hear it thanks to it not connecting to the internet at all and not even being capable of burning the files to a disk or exporting them into a flash drive, or simply... just thinking about life as i lay there on the couch.

it's... paralyzing.

it's a lifestyle i'm honestly... really conflicted about.

i felt so empty. so numb. so tired. so fucking tired of putting up with living. tired of thinking, tired of trying. so i stopped. i succumbed to apathy in the worst of ways. then i slowly came to my senses about why it wasn't what i wanted, nor needed.

it's shitty, but so attractive.

i want to do nothing.

but i don't.

i want to do something,

i want to create. to finally create the things that i envision.

i dunno.

How (generally and socially) anxious I am in real life. This makes me truly miserable.
But this is also countered by me improving.

What's your favourite Osu! mode?
ERA Puzzle
Hmm. I guess Mania but I still really love standard too. Same Question.
Achromalia
Standard, I guess.

It's pretty much the only mode I play.

Would your rather die in 3 years, or live for an eternity, still sensitive to every element and every degree of temperature, while the entirety of your body fails to decay, yet still susceptible to being misshapen, or distorted at the whims of gravity, flung across the vacant spaces of the universe?
ERA Puzzle
3 years. No thanks with the eneternity, the universe is going to freeze over eventually. I would go insane much before that I imagine and neither of those would be remotely pleasant.

What's the worst thing you can imagine yourself doing for 10 bucks?
Achromalia
What heinous and abhorrent thing I would voluntarily do in order to get 10 dollars?

Draw something for someone so I can get 10 dollars >:O

Trick 'em outta their money! They have a useless pretty thing to look at and I have a useful practical thing to work with! HAHAHAH!!

Taking it seriously, I don't know, actually. There's plenty of shitty things I could do. I'd rather not, but I could. I'd definitely swipe 10 dollars from the ground if I haven't seen the person who dropped it, or don't suspect anyone lookin' for it. I normally only take what I find, not what someone else has.

I could seriously choose to disregard ethics since it really "doesn't matter" as long as there aren't any lasting consequences, I suppose. Anything of which is done where noone could suspect a thing.

best way i can really answer this question is

depends on who’s asking

what’s the weirdest/wildest/worst dare you’ve ever done?
ERA Puzzle
Uhhh

Asked my best buddy out on a date for a dare

He got mad at me lmao

Same Q
Achromalia
honestly not sure. i'm not the type of daring person to do that sorta stuff.

i'm sure i did something at some point, but i don't really recall what i've done. it's certainly when i was a lot younger, but i dunno when.

so uhhhhh

Your biggest mistake

Failing to prevent further damage when I had the chance to remedy my parents' relationship.

MisakiTobisawa-
I haven't really made a mistake that's impacted and scarred my life. So I'll say: I refused to leave school one day (when I was like 9) so my father had to pick me up. You can guess what happened when I got home.

Do you like school? A very simple question, but something that'd be easy to elaborate on why or why not.
Tad Fibonacci
I don't like it nor do I hate it.

I think school is necessary since it's an environment for children to be educated and grow as a person. There are things that I hated about school and would like for them to be changed but I think they're necessary for society as a whole.

-----------------------

Same question.
Achromalia
It's a pain in the ass when you have something else important to focus on. I'd say I'm neutral, my experience with school has been rather mixed. I think education's great when done right, so ideally, school would be a good place. But sadly, things are quite shitty over here in the states. The blind college push doesn't exactly help.

What careers do you think I should pursue, specifically (I'm considering the possibility of being an indie game composer)?
ERA Puzzle
I actually think that's a pretty good career. But it depends entirely on the indie game market. If things keep pace you'll probably have plenty of work and as a musician that's a surprisingly fruitful market. The issue with being a musician in general is the level of competition you face and it can make job security wonky. You have to be very good to be guaranteed work. I do think creating music for games in general should be a relatively reasonable market to break into, however, considering the growth games in general have experienced. Dont limit yourself to just indie games though. It's a likely career path, but with something as difficult to break into as music, you have to keep your options open.

If you knew tomorrow was your last day on this planet, what would you do with the day?

****, like, "24h from now"?

That doesn't even let me time to completely play my VNs!
Plus, my "playlist" is over 3 days long...

A: "One of the two above, although there won't be enough time", I guess.
Or "procrastinate over memes".

people that chew with their mouth open and walk slow

ERA Puzzle
People who litter. It says a lot about a person when holding a cup or a can or whatever the hell else is more important to them than the environment or the quality of the place they live in. Ah, yeah, I could damage the environment and contribute to the problem instead of the solution and hurt my quality of life and everyone else plus the animals that live around here. Or I could just not hold this stupid cup till I get to a trash can. Fuck it! I dont wanna hold this cup.

Yeah, real nice.

SQ
MisakiTobisawa-
Well, the question was "What annoys you?" so I'm assuming it doesn't need to be related to a person's behavior. I'm easily annoyed by being reminded to do things over and over again. My memory is pretty good, usually I only need to be told something once or twice. So, for example, when my father asks me to pack my bag, he doesn't realize that I'm one step ahead every single day now and asks anyway. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Yes, I am, but I really can't stand it at all.

What have you improved about yourself as a person compared to 5 years ago?
Tad Fibonacci
I've gotten older, I'm not as stupid, not as naive, I've learned to have my own thoughts and ideas.
And most importantly, I stopped chasing after my older brother in every single aspect of life. Overall, I learned to have my own life I guess.

---------

Same question.
Westonini
I'm not as sad anymore.
I feel more motivation.
I've gained more confidence in some areas.
I'm more optimistic.

-----

same question.
ERA Puzzle
I've learned about a billion things. The two things that really stand out to me are what I've learned about hard work and the fact that I've finally grown independent and gotten over my fear of moving into the 'real' world. I kind of coasted on the help of others for a long time, sans a short 6 month stint where I lived in California when I was 20. Now I've got my own job, my own apartment. I make a good living and work hard everyday on the things I want to accomplish. I'm less of my own person than I used to be, however, and that's a discouraging regression that I'm busy trying to fix.

What things are you focusing on improving and how do you plan on moving forward as a person for the next 5 years?
Meah
Some work related things, I still need a lot of things to learn to be promoted and get paid higher

Problems you're facing right now
Achromalia
the lack of a bank account (inability to receive money from commissions or donations, as well as inability to support the artists/producers that need it).

potentially failing school, maintaining grades.

dad's issues with money not being received for child support, among a multitude of other compounding financial issues.

flat car tire on the driver's side. gotta buy two more, one to replace, and one as a spare. not helpful for financial issues.

creative atrophy & creative blocks, my productivity is absolute dogshit, the best example being the damn speech that i've failed to make progress with.

fatigue. my quality of sleep is shitty and i can't seem to stay up as long as i used to. i pass out at midnight or earlier, then sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, only to fall asleep and wake up a few hours later. it's been affecting my ability to really do anything.

still have to go to court so that we can get shit fixed.

among a plethora of other shit, but this is what immediately comes to mind.

your dream career?
payney
honestly, im not exactly sure.

here’s what i know: i want to create. i want to make something, and give it to others in hope that others will appreciate it the same way i do. whether it be thru music, filmmaking, art, writing, etc.

i would have to explore each medium a little more to be able to really decide, but the happiest i could be would be living to create.

same question
Achromalia
heh, pretty much the same here, though i'm a bit more certain of what i'm looking to do.

i already have decent skills at things related to music and art. a pianist, traditional artist, digital artist (and wannabe animator), poet, producer, and writer, are the main things i do in relation to creative occupations.

i really want to create, and share my thoughts and experiences with others through my work. that's partially why i include poems in my song descriptions and write poetry in general.

i hope to create something enjoyable that others can immerse themselves in to escape from the tough shit they put up with in life. that's why i plan to make an animation series someday.

in terms of a career, i know i'll be producing music and art, but as a job, i might try and become an indie game composer, or possibly even a film composer. alternatively, i could be an artist for an indie game.

there's a lot more to it all, but that's the general overview of what i've got in mind.
