Alternative Colors for Osu?

I am just curious of how pink of this shade was chosen as the official color for Osu!

And I would like to to ask you guys: if you can change it, what color would you want it to be?
For me, pink is okay, but I think red can work out as well?

White & red or Black & red would look cool.
Blue is also quite stylish, but I find that color to be boring the more you look at it. It gets old for me really quick.
