Yup, Dolphin, the crappy old GameCube emulator noone ever used, now emulates the Wii. Good stuff. o.o

That made me laugh. xD

Good news though. Sort of. Since I already have a Wii and thus don't need an emulator, because I can pay for the 2-3 good games that come out for it every year.

HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT

It now emulates the Wii... At full speed. With an impressive compatibility list. You don't even need a good computer, although it helps if you do.

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

I was actually looking into this a few days ago. It tells me my Plugins/Plugin_DSP.dll is missing or something. Even though it isn't :| . I'll probably figure it out later. Apparently TvC works well on it, but you can't actually play it. It'll crash when you select and option. You can watch the demo AI play, though. Anyways, old news for me. It's open source, so new revisions come out quite a lot. Could turn into something really great.

EDIT: These weren't official revisions, apparently the official revision that emulates Wii is more recent.
And it's called "Dolphin" because it was originally intended to just emulate Gamecube and the prototype name for the Gamecube was Dolphin. Sort of like the prototype name for the Wii was Revolution.
Yeah, TvC was the first game I tried. No luck.

And you've got it all wrong. The official builds are ancient (April 06), while these are updated once a week.

Edit: Good news, they seem to be working on it. I downloaded a more recent build, and the emulator no longer crashes, but instead gives you this message:
"DVD unknown command 0xe0, so far only seen in Tatsunoko. Don't know what to do, things will probably go wrong."

I got the latest revision now. Zack and Wiki loads and the screen flickers a bunch at the part where it tells you to wear the wristband. The start menu looks around the first puzzle reeeeaaaallllyyyy slowly. I can't see the title text or anything. If I press home on my Wiimote the screen dims a bit (Like it's supposed too), but I don't see the home menu. If I press A+B (which is how you start Zack and Wiki), the game goes black and nothing seems to happen after that. I could assume it's loading and wait a bit, but I'm too impatient for that. TvC just gives me a black screen. I do hear the noise when I press home though, lol.
EDIT: Also, whenever I boot either game it gives me an error that says "Error Creating Directory C:\ProgramData./User/Wii/tmp: 3" I don't know what that means because I've never seen a period character and the / slash used in a location. Do you have this error too?

I had that error. Create the folder for it, and the error will go away. As for the slashes, pretend they're backslashes, and ignore the period.

Oh, and use the OpenGL plugin. It's better.

Edit: Did I mention this emulator is awesome? I've been playing SatSR on it all day. :3
