If you play Osu with one headphone in and one out, you will notice the keyboard makes noise a lot earlier than the hitsounds. Why? is there an actual reason to have delayed hitsound, or it just "there?"

Well, clicking keyboard produces some sound even before it's all the way down to registering the click, and that sound is surely going to reach you before the actual effect of the click -> hit in game -> hitsounds from your headset; so even if you'd get 0 delay hitsounds and all working pitch perfect it'd presumably have some amount of delay compared to your keyboard sounds lolToxi wrote:
