No. I typically sleep from 10P-6A, which is 8 hours, giving me 16 hours of open-eye per day.

Thoughts on two-screen laptops, in which only the bottom is a touchscreen and can switch from a keyboard to anything else?

(Yes, I know this isn’t a thing yet, but I think this is where we might head into...)

Dammit always forget the questions

I mean, I don't really know. I think there would definitely be some input lag and a lot of technical stuff that could go wrong. I also think that for now, a standard keyboard is far more resilient. Technology tends to improve over time, so it might be viable a couple years after being introduced to the market. I see the appeal.

Do you think you'll ever stop using the computer for entertainment purposes?
45Traeath
No.

Distance only. It's still friendship, it's still the same

How are you
Achromalia
Things are tolerable. Just enduring life as I always have.

It's 5:37 AM and I'm on an airport waiting for my plane to Belgrade. Hopeful and excited, yet horribly tired.

Got any travel tips?
Achromalia
Hmm. I've never really travelled anywhere long-distance myself so I dont have much practical knowledge in how to deal with certain things, but...

I would say to remember to make the most of your trip. Enjoy it.

How do you think you'd fare in the music industry?
DJ Enetro
As long as someone buys FL Studio (not the Free version, the one immediately above it is good enough) and a good enough laptop for me, I predict an 85% success rate.

What is your most enlightening experience?
TeeArctic1
I'm not really sure I can point one out, but I learn and evolve with each person I meet and talk to. Listening to their ideas and beliefs help strengthen my own. But for one, I guess the moment when I realised that facts don't matter in a case as long as the people in power disregard them.

Where do you draw your inspiration and motivation from?
Achromalia
At the moment, I think I feel pretty good when accomplishing a set goal, like releasing Inertia on the 8th.

Things like receiving feedback and criticism on stuff I produce is somewhat satisfying. I've seen multiple different producers out there with some damn good talent, and I enjoy what they make, so I usually take inspiration from those producers to see how they manage certain things in their music. As for motivation, the thought of seeing people enjoy my creations is pretty nice. If people enjoy it, I'm happy. That's basically my goal, to make things that interest, comfort, or even inspire people to make some interesting music of their own.

Would you believe it to be wise to overwork yourself to produce something with the chance of it having a better quality to it?
TeeArctic1
Guilty as charged.

Works for a short period, but over time you'll just get burnt out.

Could you abandon your country and friends for a fresh start and advancements to your career?
Meah
No, they helped me on what as I am today. I couldn't possibly do that

Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding?
Achromalia
who? no, and no.

The one that comes to memory is being finished working in the student organisation. I cried for days. They were family, and I was so sad I was done and wouldn't ever get to do it again, but so proud when I saw the new generation of kids with inspiring ideas and hope. I still miss them a bunch.

What would you do if you suddenly got a terminal disease and only had a week left to live?
Achromalia

TeeArctic1 wrote:

Whoah, well, that's...

It'd be depressing for sure, but I'll use my thoughts to my advantage and try to make one last song for everyone. I think I know what I'd call it.

I'll be sure to contact relatives and comfort them if I can. I'll definitely try to give friends tips and give those close IRL friends of mine my time and help them with the shit they're going through.

I'll provide whatever insight I have in store in hopes of at least helping or comforting someone, giving them something important to work with as they progress in life.

Not sure what else. I'll just provide whatever I can and enjoy the company. Once I'm done, I'll set up a playlist of all the music I've loved to listen to and die at peace.

A bit dramatic, probably.

What do you think of humanity for the state it brought itself to..., all things considered?
45Traeath
Conquests, wars, innovations, corrections, discoveries...
The problem under the name of "differences" still existing, I'd think "We" are very slow.
On a personal level, I'd kind of question them; but that's only because I'm the son of pure foreigners who was born and raised in an hostile generation of a supposedly friendly country.

what’s your hobby?
Achromalia
I think being an artist and musician should be enough to count as "hobbies".

Do you tend to spend the most of your time for entertainment, or something else?
TeeArctic1
As of now, yeah. Usually though, I work on different stuff
Rook
Entertainment, I'm a lazy shit.

Is there anything you're really passionate about, and if so, what inspires you to keep at it?
Achromalia
I think my passions are somewhat obvious, but I'd like to explain them anyways.

So I'm both an artist, capable of working with traditional and digital stuff, and a musician, as someone who plays the piano and produces electronic music.

As for inspiration, I actually dont have much, as I'm a rather unmotivated and lazy person, despite constantly trying to be productive and effective. I just keep doing it because I enjoy it. I feel like I'm creating something, as if I'm breathing life into certain ideas or concepts, or even whole worlds if I will it. If people like it, it's all the more reason to keep going and creating. It's possible that this stuff may be their solace from life, and I'd like to provide the means to escape from life for a while if they need to.

What do you appreciate of your abilities, qualities, and traits?
Rook
I'd say I can whistle Kill Bill's 'Twisted Nerve' pretty accurately. But to a lesser degree, I guess I'm glad that I've always tried to do my own thing.

What do you think is your greatest flaw?
TeeArctic1
I think my biggest flaw is my humbleness and wish to not upset anyone. Leads me to miss some opportunities and not reach the heights I could if I were more assertive.

Is there a type of person you want to avoid becoming?
45Traeath
"Avoiding" isn't really an option to me, it's already active.
But in that regards, I'd like to avoid being seen as useless.
(I'd expand on another topic after this answer but that's not much related to it.)

beeboy123 wrote:

What do you fear the most in life?
CatzerTM
I sometimes get social anxiety, i'm guessing one of the biggest fears I have Is orally communicating with people i'm familiar with, I don't have a problem with friends and family. I'm slightly introverted.

What is one of your biggest regrets in life?
TeeArctic1

Gorufu.

If you could relive any moment in your life, what would you choose?
TeeArctic1
The moment I first got elected into the student organisation

What has been the most influential moment of your life?
45Traeath
In terms of "what had a lot of influence in the past", kids my age.
In terms of "what had me change a lot in the past", when I saw a wall - continuously rising - representing the gap between me and the other ones I tried to overcome.

Magicphoenix wrote:

If you were to give a chance to travel back to the past once, what time would you travel to? And why
DJ Enetro
Maybe just to where my parents were when they were young. But that’s it really. I don’t like to think about the past much.

Which song, out of the two below?

Dinosaurs are vegans?

Learning the Japanese language.

The summer program that I am working towards (click “here” on my sig to find out about that) keeps me chained to it. (In a good way.)

Any words you’re thinking about? If so, why?
Achromalia
tired. shit. unproductive. manage.

I'm tired. I feel like shit because I was forced to sleep early and couldn't sleep for a while. I'm making an effort to get rid of my academically unproductive nature as I've got school to worry about now. I'll do what I can to manage.

DJ Enetro wrote:

Coffee, cider, diplomacy and joint effort.

First one because I really need it. The rest remains to be revealed.

What political party/ideology do you have the most affinity towards?

Though it's always nice to have the thought and wonder if maybe there really is something out there, but for now, one can't be too sure.

Do you fare well in any academic subjects? (e.g. Mathematics, English, etc.)
TeeArctic1
I do really well in most subjects when I make an active effort. My grades dropped a bit because I used so much of my spare time on others and working with politics, but otherwise, I would likely get straight A's or B's across the board. However, I think my best subjects are languages, history, religion and politics. It's just easier for me to express myself there. I'm also fairly good at biology and geography/geometry, mostly because I was really into that at one point.
I think my worst ones would have to be physics and theoretical mathematics. Might only be me, but the teachers weren't really all that good at making you understand the subject matter, and would often move forward with only one or two in class truly grasping it.

What are your parents like?
Achromalia
They're alright.

TeeArctic1 wrote:

DJ Enetro
My mother is from Indonesia (and since she has relatives there, I visit them every now and then and hence can speak a bit). I see her as hardworking but at the same time a little too over-independent. If possible, she does not want to ask others for help.

As for my father, well, he’s stubborn, at least in the fact that he wants to run a business. Born in Vietnam, apparently he ran cross-country and now he cooks for a living (in a restaurant). Apparently, my mom says that he is not helping to pay the bills at the moment (phone, electricity, and others).

Both had parents that would not hesitate to spank their children if misbehavior arose. My mom still hits my little brother at times, when it comes to talking back.

Are you at your/your relative’s house right now, and what are you doing?
CatzerTM
yes I am, i'm just wondering through the forums like I usually do

What's your most painful experience?
johnmedina999
I broke my wrist once.

What is the origin of your username?
Achromalia
I wanted a name that'd actually fit me. Something that'd have meaning behind it that helped to describe me. I wanted something I could be comfortable with.

I came up with Achromalia. Achromatic (the lack of color) + Anomalia (spanish for "anomaly"). Achro-malia, or "an anomalous lack of color". I'm a rather detached person IRL. I feel like despite everyone supposedly being capable of strong emotion (color, in this context), I seem to lack that expressiveness in emotion (lack of color). I think of it to be an unusual trait or quality of mine that I have a mixed opinion of.

Though, as a recent producer name, I felt like changing it to something a bit more recognizably defined.

My Soundcloud and Discord accounts currently go under the name "Achomatism".

Achromalia wrote:

Westonini
Well, History and English courses have always been fairly easy for me. I was able to take honors and advanced placement classes in those subjects and pass with relative ease. I performed quite well in Mathematics as well until I had this shitty pre-calc teacher. Big oof. However, now that that's in the past, I believe I'll be able to do as well as I once did in that subject.

For whatever reason, Science has always been my weak-point. Most people refer to it as the most interesting and fun subject of them all, but personally I don't find it too engaging. Not sure why, but I'm normally bored or confused in those classes. It may be because of my lack of enthusiasm for that subject that it's my poorest of the bunch. But who knows. I still do fine in those classes so it's whatevs.
