Two of my friends quit after getting around 400pp, and I couldn’t convince any other friends to get the game, because they’re convinced it’s trash
everytime someone asks me what i play it's like "this and osu, you've probably never heard of it" which they agree on. then i tell them "well, you probably know guitar hero. it's not really that close but both are rhythm games" and then they're like oh, ok i guess. but one day someone answered "oh, i know osu" after the first question. kinda made me happy until i found out he only plays osu!droid from time to time

Yeah, most of my friends know what osu! is, now that I've explained it to them (and kind of talked about it a lot even though they didn't care about it). A few of my friends even gave it a shot, but like most people, they ended up stopping as 7-digits with 1-10pp.
I"m pretty sure most of my friends know what Osu is. They just don't play.
As soon as I told them how to play it they were like "wow you're weird, why do you play such boring shit".. I mean.. clicking circles to the beat....uh

A couple of them know, but only one of them play somewhat actively -he has sort of an on/off relationship with the game.

Me and my friend play all the time, but aren't that good (2-3 star range) but osu is a great game

I actually have a very few group of friends who know what osu! is and even a smaller number of friends who play it. Then typical response from someone who has heard of osu but has never actually explores the osu community either says one of 3 things:
1.Why osu!? why not [insert other popular game name here].
2. Only weebs play osu.
3. Osu is so easy and takes no skill.
To be honest I get pretty pissed of to hear these statements but at the end of the day were just clicking circles to the beat so we can get better at clicking more circels.

Actually, one of my, sadly, now ex-friend, introduced to me osu!, other than that, no I haven't men anyone who knew what osu! is, so far. I told my friends about, some of them tried it, then played for 1 or 2 days and uninstalled.

my friend is the one who introduce me to osu back in 2012, but im the one who stuck playing it since.
I'm pretty sure all of my friends dropped osu! after around a week of me telling them about the game, or don't know about it at all. And here's me - I'm playing for about 9 months, and have no intention of dropping the game at any point soon.

i actyally got into osu because i played it at a friends Place recently. the said friend also got my bestie to like it and now we play together after school in a Private multiplayer lobby pretty often

One day before the class, me and my classmates spotted somebody playing osu!mania. Before I could say anything one of them just started to babbling about osu! and I was actually surprised that somebody knew it. Here comes the funny part. He said he played on osu!standard and was actually pro or something like that. He told us how difficult the game is. Then he picked his laptop and started showing off his skill on 3*. He was like 'it may seems easy but it is actually super duper difficult'. So he asked us to try and we did, except me.
Later that day in the cafetaria my friends got really hooked up. They kept pushing me to try it. Instead, I picked my laptop and my tablet and just started pulling of easy 5* jumps and streams. That one friend of mine was like 'damn, you are pro boi' and i said 'no. you just suck mate'

Someone installed osu on the computers in my middle school and everyone in my class at least saw what it looks like. Now in high school I have a friend who sometimes plays osu on his phone, he said he doesn’t play on a computer almost at all though. Actually that was part of the reason why I sat down now today and started playing, as I hasn’t really done it before. He has another friend from his middle school who claims to be high in the national ranking, but probably not high enough.

I have never met a random person outside that knew anything about Osu. My circle knows of Osu because i bring it up when we are discussing games we play, but as far as someone who plays it fairly often and is decent at the game, then i have no one around me.
2 of them know, the 1st one has ~2500pp, and the 2nd one started playing yesterday on mobile (the opsu! app)
damn i know like 6, all of them within the 600-2k pp range. they play a ton and are in on all the osu memes, but i wish i knew someone at my rank so multis wouldn't be that boring.

A good number of my acquaintances in Overwatch-related interest groups know what osu! is, thanks to pro ow streamers. Some of the cg artists I know have heard or tried osu! also. But that’s pretty much it.

here in phil. most of my classmates are weebs too so i didn't had a hard time convincing them to play osu with me. we talk about osu non stop during class, we share experiences especially most of my friends are mouse players and complains about how it's impossible to finish 1,2s using a mouse.
I live in Germany and in my school they make fun of me for liking anime and playing osu. Everytime I ask my friends if we want to play some osu together they call me a weeb I don't really get why they can't just try it once it's not like they have to play it forever.

Most people, friend or classmate, know that I play osu!. Mostly because I played it excessively last year in school, but it's on and off so far this year. About four other people that I personally know play osu!, and most of my friends know about my, ahem, "osu! addiction", which nobody can really call it that at this point, since I don't focus on osu! 24/7 anymore.

One of them is actually really skilled at the moment, and the second one got introduced by me into the game and he started to like the game so im happ. The third one, played one time with tablet and thought u need to tap with your pen (i know you can play like that, but it's not good for beginners) so he raged and told me that this game is stupid af, that's all.
