In terms of musical value, I think it's actually alright, I think I liked that. Vocally, it's a little detracting, but it does simultaneously help give a more emotional, tense atmosphere. Lyrically, it's pretty good at a few parts, otherwise, it's probably still passable. Powerful near the end.

ninja'd once again ;w;

It's... passable? It just comes off as like the stereotypical epic that any other would sound like. Doesn't mean it makes it bad, and rather, it sounds alright, it just isn't really interesting for me. Not much there to it.

5/10 Hol' up, for a soundtrack this is pretty unremarkable and tired, I'd might even call it...

8/10 Fresh vibes, quite pretty actually. Nothing special but a completely precious listen all the same.

Really nice. Definitely enjoyed this one, a very serene and a sort of "open, but not quite" atmosphere, like it's echoing off of the mouth of a giant cave, or maybe from within a deep forest. I dunno, maybe it's my imagination running a bit wild. But it's nice. It's what ambient stuff should be.

Hmm. A solid K-pop song, I guess. K-pop is usually not what I listen to very often, but I actually do like a few of songs from the genre. Anyways, it may not be quite the best, but it's actually enjoyable.

8.2/10 Oh hi, this is some nice instrumentation, not a fan of the overly jolly mood, it's a bit over the top, but I appreciate it for what it is. Quite nice.

Satisfying. Not much else to say, just pretty satisfying.

Oof, sorry for not responding here, life happened and plus uh... my headphones broke, the right side is silent. Even though I just got them. I'm an idiot ;w;

7.8/10 Very relaxing and well made imo, a nice relaxing 5 minutes I would listen to again. I don't really listen to stuff like this and normally don't like this genre of songs, but this was actually a nice change from the songs I normally listen to.

7.43/10 Gives a nice feeling of dread. The song title certainly fits here. Not really anything I would listen to on a daily basis, but might fit in a dnd campaign or when telling scary stories

Some nice typical Liquid Drum'n'Bass. Decent melodies, flow, and uhh... pretty much everything that makes it Liquid Drum'n'Bass. As far as progression goes, it's got plenty of them and manages to make smooth transitions. Nothing entirely special in being original or creative, but still good. The instrumentation is good, definitely enjoyable overall.

That's Drone, Minimal, Lowercase, IDM, and other similar genres in a nutshell. Pretty much everyone thinks that, so you're pretty normal if you think it has hardly any value if any at all. That isn't to say I don't disagree with the notion, but either way is fine.

Real nice to tune out to, didn't realise I had heard through the entire song before it was over because it just fit in so well in the background

It's good. It has decent effects and cuts, but the general opera feel doesn't appeal much. Quite honestly, taking the sample as a whole, detracts from the instrumental aspects. There are some pretty good parts, but overall isn't as great as it could've been.

Dammit, where's Rook when you need her ;w;

(seriously, an average rating of the stuff she sends is like 8.41/10 on my scale which is pretty damn good. despite her typical music palette not being what i would've listened to prior to her submitting stuff, that palette has some crazy good songs with power, drive, and overall great execution. she's got a damn good ear.)

The typical upbeat funky sort of song. It's good. Not much else to say about it. Decent outro.

8.17/10

A lot of energy and vigor. I like how it progresses. The guitar goes through some interesting tricks and concepts and the variety keeps it fresh, and yet it's actually pretty consistent in its mood. It's a fun song. The outro gets cut off but I'm alright with it.

Currently out on a night-time walk, fits very well to the mood I'm in. Nice floating vocals, with a nice enough rhythm to keep you keyed in throughout the song.
Also a sucker for uh treble? (Blaming translate if that comes across differently than intended)

With some searching, I managed to get it to play elsewhere. Not exactly something I'd listen to. It's a bit lacking, but later on, it gets better and actually can get a bit satisfying. I'm definitely a sucker for those chords of the ambient pads in the background.

Perhaps I can catch a Rook this time?

Rook
7.6/10 Fresh but the vocals introduced halfway really break this away from being faceless imo. The build up at 4:00 - 4:25 is dope.

Hiho Achwo and thanks, your new ava is looking great too, the gradient in the skull is a really nice touch.
How's your music coming along?

Well this was a pretty interesting song. A nice intro. The whole song itself was solid and everything sounds good. Though, I was starting to expect something heavy to drop but it felt like it was hovering from a bridge and a buildup throughout the majority of it, so that was a bit awkward. Lovely outro, the last minute had been satisfying to listen to.

Well, I've actually had some trouble getting things done recently, I've been pretty unmotivated but I'm trying to sneak in a few updates whenever I can. I don't know if I'll be able to certify whether or not the song will be well-polished. I've got 4 days left, so I guess time will tell.

I changed the name of my soundcloud account, by the way. i'd like to know what you think: https://soundcloud.com/achromatism

Just four more days.

Nice beat. I really like how serene the intro sounds until it breaks into a more gritty tune. The breathing is also a good touch, or how the break at 1:36 keeps going just long enough to make you believe the song is over before continuing. The small breaks around 1:56 also sounds a bit like someone's out of breath, while the ambient noise in the background seeps in and the main melody weakens. Gives me an impression of someone running away.

Rook
5, I'm just not a big fan, the chorus and its build up is the only part I like and it's overused in tv adverts and the like.

Oof that's a shame about your lack of motivation ;v;
I like the name change, I think Achromalia as a word sounds better though, just phonetically richer and has a niceness to it. Achromatism looks good too, but maybe I'm biased cus I just really like your username.

Lovely intro. The first couple minutes are pretty slow-paced and eventually get a tad repetitive, despite it being really nice to listen to. However, that makes the change in 2:46 even more satisfying, and the vocals that soon follow sound quite nice. The mood is somewhat satisfying. It's just not quite as effective as I'd like it to be, for whatever reason. Nice outro, and the song is pretty good overall.

Rook
6.2/10, Minimal but good atmosphere, can't say I enjoyed all of the sounds here though, like 2:25 was just unpleasant.

Achromalia

Really calming. I enjoy this, despite the awkward country hometown feel, it's actually used well. I dont know what to say about it really, it's just really nice. Easy to listen to.

Rook
7.8/10 Lovely lovely, it's just so serene. I don't know if I like the mixing though, rain sounds are a little too loud for me.

Achromalia
8.14/10

More folky, orchestral, and instrumental stuff. It sounds pretty good, has an interesting mood, and the instrumentation is pretty good. Some parts of it makes me reminiscent of the soundtrack in the original Diablo game for the town of Tristram. At some point a particular noise or transition made me think of the Protoss and Terran soundtracks in the original StarCraft.

This is a pretty good song in terms of an experience, and would work well as an accompaniment in a movie soundtrack. I like the progression, and there's a lot of nostalgia-inducing changes. I feel like if this were to be in a game or movie, it would be really memorable. It just has that sort of quality.

Holy shit it's also quite the immersive song, I'm starting to imagine some sort of world, like within the 13th, 14th, or 15th century era or something.

Pretty damn good overall.

A bit too heavy for my taste, but I like the bass progression

Achromalia
7.54/10

Hmm. It's a bit quiet, but that's alright.

The intro is alright, and has a bit of drive to it, and gets right down to business by 0:09. The progression is good, and I like the underlying tone to an extent. For some reason it didnt do all that much for me, but it was still decent while it lasted. It has a good bit of energy through the song, and definitely feels like it's emotionally charged to some degree.

Nice.

Achromalia

Hmm. An interesting one for sure. 1:25 was cool, but I expected that to repeat a bit more frequently. Pretty good, actually. I dont know what else to say about it though, it just sounds generally nice.

Rook
7.8/10 I mean, It's gorgeous but the voice sounds really add nothing to this, they're kinda silly actually. If it didn't have those it's an 8/10, just makes me warm listening to it even if it's nothing spectacular.

Achromalia
8.32/10

The intro sets it off to a good start. The vocals are pretty nice. The whole song itself is serene and ambient. I love that atmosphere, by the way.

So I'm about ready to release Inertia. I'd like to know what you think of it so far. I dont know if there's something it'd need work on and I'm a little nervous about the final result ;w;

i hope this isn't an oof
