8.8/10, I dig this big time, everything works together so well, I have no criticisms. I love the part starting at 2:15, relaxing as heck. Good stuff.

Oh boy, here we go. The test of endurance begins. It's going to be hard to be critical on everything here due to length so I'll shorten it up if I can and base it off my experience. (edit: welp, i became technical anyways. that's fine i guess!)

Also, when you said it was a good song... Holy shit, it is indeed, a great song.

tl;dr for anyone who isn't ready to handle chunks of text: I enjoyed all of it.

Phase 1: So, it has a good intro. Everything is good. It has really good progression and each part is really nice to listen to, actually. At this point I already know I enjoy it this much because of your posts, which have made me even more accepting of even more genres like this. Anyhow, it all works well, and then it calms down at 3:15. Ambience. it sounds great. Little cute sounds come up. An underlining rhythm comes in, with the foreboding qualities I love. And then--

Phase 2: It gets serious at 4:25. This buildup is satisfying. It remains consistent in the quality of its sound. An arp arises, with a nice melody within what seems like a break at 5:46. Vocals approach, they sound rhythmically strange, but they still sound great, and the rhythm gets better. An interesting buildup/bridge comes up. It still all sounds good. This is becoming really satisfying to listen to. More progression through the next couple minutes that are overall just great. And, here, we return to the calmness at 9:48. Sharp vocal clips. Reverb. High attack. Very ambient, and honestly quite nice. The arp eventually comes back in. A nice arpeggiation ensues. The vocals return. They take a break for a while. Back to calm with a bell-like instrument along with some other sounds. Calm, until--

Phase 3: Synths and guitars dominate the airspace at 13:19, leaving the other instruments to the background. I'm hooked to the song by now. The progressions hereon are amazing as usual. A voice in the background makes some phrases but is drowned in the sound. I'm fine with that. Another great transition. Calm at 15:42, once again. Cute sounds, clipped or cut with some reverb. A nice soft bassline to the right. More ambience with more soothing sounds. A nice guitar. Behind me, to the left, a guitar line starts. It sounds good. that surfaces in front of the song and is pretty good. Vocals come in for a little bit. Ambient pads in the background come in for a bit. Vocals return. Everything is nice. The last verses come in, with an amazing mood. High dynamic momentum here. Chanting surfaces and ensues. The song is finally over.

hOLY fucK that was an experience. Thanks for that, even though it did take a long time to digest, I appreciate this song. It's really good (welp, looks like I've been writing this for about 35 minutes or so).

I dont even have anything to top that...

6/10 It's aight for what it is, I just don't think that much to it for some reason.

Ay, that's awesome to hear what you think about it.
Can't remember if I posted this in the thread before, I know I've definitely posted another song by TC before though.

Yeah, this song is really familiar, I think you sent this song on this thread before. It's pretty good.

it's 4:58 AM PST right now as of writing this. I'm pretty lucky I caught this when i woke up, i was about ready to fall back asleep.

7.6/10 pretty little thing, those strings are heavenly at 1:05. Lame how it started to get engaging right before it finished though, should be longer.

Ah, sorry, there has been so many songs lately I can't keep track ;v;.

Whoah, this is really nice. I like the piano, the strings are a good addition too. It picks up after a bit and it's good through all the progressions 'n' stuff over the next few minutes. The little break at 5:19 was pretty nice. The buildup from there is really amazing, it just keeps going and going, until the beautiful section at 7:59. The outro sections were great as well. Beautiful.

I love that cover art. Dogs are cool .w.

It's alright! I'm starting to feel the same way really, kinda hard to find new stuff I like now that I've been exhausting them so quickly over the past couple of months.

That's pretty accurate xD

This next song just... yes. I just found it today and it's pretty good:

8.5/10, Golden stuff, feels really empty but serene at the same time, gorgeous.

It's aight if you want to re-post some older good stuff though, you got me more into different genres in general so I might enjoy them more now than I did back then.

Oh hi doggy
Achromalia

Nice energy. Really enjoying the momentum of this. Cover art of an anger doggo-- "oh hi doggy".

The first song of mine you reviewed. "5/10, it's okay, but I wouldn't listen to again". Not sure what you'll think of it now, but let's try it out.

5.5/10 Still don't think I'm liking this so much. I think its stuck between being relaxing and energetic, likely on purpose, but with everything going on I'm just unattracted by how the noises sound together. Think its okay for 1:57-3:12 and 4:29 onwards though, I like those parts.

Achromalia
7.39/10

Whoah, not even a soft introduction, just straight into the action. I've got mixed feelings about that, but i think i kinda like it as an intro. Interesting. I would say that it has a little too much power for it to really work out well, personally. It's hard not to think of it as overpowering. It's still really great in it's progressions. Back to the power by 6:04, and this time it feels a little more fitting. From there on, smooth sailing with a nice big section with a great release say the end.

Hmm. I suppose that's fair enough. It had the opposite effect on me, I really liked how it sounded as it seemed interesting and crunchy to me.

Here's one I think I've posted here a few months ago, the one breakcore song I've considered to be the candidate of being my all-time favorite breakcore track. It'd be interesting to see what you'd think of it.

Rook
8.5/10, I can definitely see why you think so much to it! I dig how the more aggressive sections mix into the more serene parts, thats what really sells it for me. My favourite part is the lead in from 2:00 into 2:17, that's nothing short of epic, I also love how it goes calm again in 3:15 and then its just gorgeous at 3:43.

Achromalia
8.26/10

Definitely a nice experience. Something good to sleep to. The progressions are pretty interesting. Overall I like it, it's pretty good. Also, that-- whoah. Just. The outro. Fuck. That's a good outro.

6.8/10 Pretty fresh wubwubs, I can get into this. I like the intro.

A month and a half sounds about right, I haven't been here very long but the thread went pretty quiet around that time.

7.9/10, pretty gud imo. There were some times in the beginning that I was reminded of Lincoln Park for some reason. Intro and ending were very nice.

8/10 Just really nice sounds in this, engaging.

Achromalia
7.64/10.

Nothing much to say about it, it's pretty good. I guess it's less diverse in its direction, and it kinda just does the same thing, but there are subtle things that make it somewhat different and engaging. It's alright, quite soothing actually, but hard to listen to consciously as it just makes me feel... rather absent-minded. Not sure how to explain it better.

Oof I'm lucky I caught this in time. I'm about to sleep right now, staying up the whole night is just not working out for me. time zones are really irritating to work around sometimes ;w;

It's 1:39 AM as of now in the midst of writing this post. I should be back up in 6 or 7 hours at the latest if I can manage to fall asleep.

(edit: 2 hours later, I still haven't fallen asleep. checked my emails, starting to feel nostalgic again, im making an attempt to talk to an old friend of mine but no response since about two and a half months ago.)

One of my favorite longer tracks, this is the multi-genre experience "Empty Egg":

8.9/10 I'm 99.9% sure you've posted this in this or that, I still really like it. 1:58 the drunk sleazy sounds are just 10/10 material, 3:45 is incredible. I like the first 7 minutes more than the end by far though, but I appreciate all these shifts because they're all so good to listen to.

You should catch some Zs dude D:. Unfortunate to hear you can't contact your friend, I do hope you get hold of them though and that they're well.

Achromalia
7.89/10

Whoah, kinda cool. I think I like it. It has an interesting direction and does what it can with it. Nothing amazing, but it's definitely... familiar, actually. It has the sort of chord of progression that can be predictable at times, but it manages to work well. Nice overall.

8.8/10 Clean and refreshing, vocals really stick out to me and the guitar fits in so well, perfect length too, not too long but long enough to really immerse you. Awesome vibes.

Lol, that's cool! I don't like most of the sounds he uses, really, they often sound coarse and far too noisy for me, they also lack direction imo. At least when his songs start to use a piano or something similar, it lightens it up and I can dig it then.
I dunno mang, the last time I even mimicked throwing a punch I sprained my wrist o ^ q.

Achromalia
8.79/10.

Hmm. For songs meant to be experienced, 8 to 12 minutes is my golden range of length. This is right in the middle. Speaking of it being meant to be experienced, this is quite the song for lovely progressions. I enjoy the fuzzy atmosphere to it. Growls themselves are yet again may not be my thing, but when they fit the atmosphere like this, they're great. A nice little acoustic guitar in the middle is refreshing to hear, amongst the other well-fitting instruments. Then the lovely progression from 6:55 into 7:12. Wow. from 7:12 onwards, it's just... pleasing to hear for some reason. The growls kinda take away the atmosphere and it starts be a little funny after a while, but overall it was executed REALLY well. Nice outro.

Whoa 9.6/10!
Shit I'm really going to have to listen to this artist cus this is just so beautiful in most every way. I already loved from the start then 2:13 really layers it up, adds some great texture, sounds heavenly and delicate.

Ooh, sounds like a little bit of folk in there. Well, this started off pretty well with the intro. The vocals are pretty decent, and I like how it fits with the song's atmosphere with the reverb. Nice guitar and piano at the end. Overall, not bad.

Oh hey, you know of Arcaea too?

HOLY FUCK.

Well, it's a good mix of concepts, and it's pretty cool to see Breakcore and Artcore are involved. Though it gets points for executing the individual concepts well and sounding stylish, It lacks the depth I typically seek in the mood of songs. Even then, it doesn't sound any less great. It's a bit shorter than what I'd like for something of this nature, and I feel like with the complexity of its arrangement, there's a lot more that could be done.

This was the first song I found when I discovered Arcaea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRnrKsuV-Uo

So good! The sounds is just so epic, and it fits in rhythm games. And yes I know Arcaea but I don't play it anymore because of it's shit judgment line.

Achromalia
7.32/10.

It sounds pretty decent, or at least has decent sound quality along with decent concepts, but for some reason, it just doesn't appeal to me much. The execution just doesn't suit well with me. It almost feels as if whatever structure this song was meant to have but seems to lack... just was there for no reason. Like an eventful battle with no place or context in the original nondescript story arc. It works with what it has, but is too inconsistent judge much of it based on musical quality and forces it to be more focused as an experience-- and it's decent as an experience, but it just doesn't work as a song. It has potential, but it's too inconsistent and takes a few too many risks way too soon that i don't even have a chance to catch the general theme of the song, as it switches the mood rather quickly and erratically.

This song from onumi's "Childhood Friend" album is... concerning. If this album is trying to tell a story, then... whatever part of the plot this pertains to will not bode well. "Regret", a fitting name.

But to have a hint of what I mean, here's the track list titles for the album, along with the description:

"The loss of your childhood.
Something everyone experiences but no one talks about.
You're not alone.
Don't get caught up in yourself, please."

- onumi

1. Nostalgia
2. Fake
3. Desire
4. Regret (part 1)
5. Stockholm Syndrome
6. Regret (Part 2)
7. Confusion
8. Break
9. Forgiveness

Unless you don't look into the moods and meanings of songs much, then that's fine. -w-

4/10, Urgh sorry, I really dislike this sort of folky indie music. To me it all sounds the same, bland and pretty annoying.

AcrWHOA, you madman, the heck is this and how did you do it!?
8.8/10, sounds are so clean and crisp, the piano at 1:46 comes in perfectly, it's my favourite thing, and the melody is so simple yet so well utilised throughout the song, memorable too, if you used this as a title theme of a game for example, it's simple enough to sound iconic.... Godammit and I'm getting Perfect Dark vibes too u V u!
This is professional stuff! Are you planning to get some songs together for an album? Or is this all experimental?

Achromalia
7.81/10

Pretty good. Not much to say about this one, though. Easy to listen to, I guess.

As for my music, Inertia is intended to be my first single released early-August. Next, I'll be attempting a collaboration with a friend who will be the singer, probably to be released around mid-November. I didn't expect you to like it this much xD

It's a bit experimental, as I'm still trying to get used to mixing and mastering, and with a song of this nature, it's hard to make everything sound good and at a good volume where you can hear it all without the master channel clipping or cutting out any of the instruments. I hope it's received well! Gonna be my first dip into the music industry, I guess, I'll try kickstart a possible career with this.

btw onumi's music has low-key become one of my inspirations in music production:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zln9MRUFKBs

Rook
6.8/10 Still kinda like the sounds, but still can't get into it somehow.

Sorry, was waiting to see if anyone else replied since you posted it about a week ago and my opinion hasn't changed much since then. Also I 100% believe you'll go far in the industry considering your motivation and talent.

Achromalia
8.26/10.

Interesting. I like it, it has some really tense and suspenseful progressions which were executed really well. I'm paying a lot of attention to the gritty bassy stuff, I'll definitely need to start taking notes on things.

Thank you! I have a funny feeling I might do well as a musician. I'm a little nervous about taking it all on now, since I'm mostly self-taught and somewhat inexperienced as far as professional stuff goes. I may try to team up with a label of sorts to get some additional help once I'm certain of my capabilities.
