I'll update this skin with new skinning features when I don't feel lazy...soon-ish. Will get "Spin!" done tonight, but "Clear!" might require a fair bit of playing around to get done right based on what I wanna do.

Good idea, y/n? If yes, is transparent or solid better?

Transparent looks alot better, as in the game he did seem a bit transparent on the top screen while scanning. With neku right over the spinner and solid, it looks much too distracting to spin all that well.awp wrote:

I have grown so dependant on this skin I suck with any circular-cursor skin

Numbers are neigh impossible to read on low contrast. I have my brightness around 15% and my contrast around 50% - I only turn it up for making graphics. Hit50, hit100 etc. explosions are a bit too dynamic and distract from the focus IMHO. Not only that, but they're pretty big, covering up any underlying hitcircles that may be stacked. The slider pylon is a bit trippy because of how it's animated, and the followcircle is seriously disorienting.
It's not bad by any means - I like it, and the theme. Everything fits. Thing is though, it seems like too much is going on at once despite functioning the exact same as any other skin. It's too busy for my personal taste. I play with it on TWEWY song beatmaps for fun, but I can't play seriously with it - for that, I switch to Xi-Style.
Don't take my personal preference against it.

I've found a lot of skins - or score explosions in general - have the issue of covering up notes behind them. I'd rather they simply disappeared more quickly (perhaps after 0.5 seconds rather than the current 2 or so) as it's not something I'd want to change (graphic-wise).Xiaounlimited wrote:

They could be too big =| Experimentation may lead to profit.

Everything is drawn from scratch, so technically, I got it from me.
It's a combination of the D, + and B type pins that allow you to levitate and swing objects (the red ring/vortex), the pylon (most common prop to use as a weapon in battle) random debris (the rocks/dirt which are guaranteed to be sucked up by anything strong enough to lift a car) to make things a bit more interesting, and the CDs are ripped off of the slider track and swung around.

What I think: it looks great zoomed in and pixelated, but the hair is a bit distracting. Black outline thinner, I suppose?

I'll be honest with you.
Apart from Neku cutscene voice acting, the English vocals for most characters are much better (in that they're less annoying/more fitting) than the Japanese. Well, Shiki sounds like a chipmunk, Joshua's voice doesn't fit his cocky snobbish attitude at all, and Sho's just not the same. Hanekoma sounds like he was hit over the head with a heavy object...yech, they just don't sound good at all to me ;(
Still, I have no objections if you want to rip them and replace the English OEWY voices with the Japanese ones, but at the moment I'm pretty much against including them in the skin.

Showcasing new tab as well as posting filename for other skinners to reference.
I feel proud - guessed the correct filename on my third try. As soon as I get around to drawing toasties (maybe Sunday morning/afternoon after I chill with a fellow osuer) maybe I'll finish v1.2 and reupload/reosume. All that's left is the toasties, and a system for disabling them for the whiny faggots that hate them <3

I love the whole skin, though if you're still taking suggestions etc, the "sudden death" pin could be replaced with "Tinpin thrift".

Good call, duly noted, and I'll update this skin someday, I swear. The version I'm using already has a lot of nice things that are missing. Just dooooon't waaaaanna veeeeeector eh I'll do it, I'll do it.

There's a tutorial in the skin's folder. I think it's called __readme or __Partner or something. It's a text file.

You knowww....... if you skin the catch the beat thing, you should have the fruit be like the diffrent items from the shops clothes,cds,food. You should also obviusly have neku as the catcher person. I dont know how you could iplement the partner system though

btw the routine promises I'll get back at this are over and done with. I actually have gotten back to working on the skin and there's just a few bits and pieces left. Also planning to throw together "another" "partner" to somewhat offset how sloooooowly I've been updating this.

That's awesome you should ave the partner system reward the player besides making different sounds and noises.

Updated to 1.23 on osume.
Right now I always use Beat, but I try to change around the partners. Also I love the new whistle sound.

There's a reason I didn't use "Gotta Bounce"...I think it's because it appears as "Escape" when you get a game-over. I'm not allowed to have a mid-game "Back to Menu" and a Game Over "Back to Menu" separately so I had to compromise.

I haven't thought about what to do with regards to the fruits, but I'll probably end up using various foods from the game like falling burgers and ramen bowls or something. That or just leaving them default.

Um, buy a tablet? I zoom in to like 800% of an already largely scaled image when I'm drawing, but I start with the outline - you might want to draw your original ink layer in some obnoxiously bright colour so it stands out, then change it to black once you're done colouring.
I downloaded this skin (it's awesome btw ) but I don't know how to change my partner... -_-'

I've developed a simple set of scripts to make partner changing as easy as double clicking a single file, but because I'm lazier than every other skin maker combined, it has been sitting unreleased on my hard drive since like February. There's still no custom ctb characters z_z
I'm really happy and excited about this project of yours, though I'd like to give some critiques about it. 8D
