When you released the pink skin for testing, -yuo-, I found a couple bugs when I tried it.

1. The osu!mania looks different from the original green skin locationwise
2. The text box next to the mode select screen’s title still says Nightgate Green.

If it has been updated since Beta, then I’m a bit late.

Has anyone else noticed there have been 7 billion ranked plays on this game so far?

yep do see the preferences.

annd yeh the pink is in this state:

its nightgate green but recoloured to pink automatically using a photoshop process i made.
other than that i havent touched anythyng else.

of course some elements will be off whack because it is an automatic process, so i still need to fixup some elements and add support for everything in the options and setup.

but now, i have exams coming up, no decent computer and wayy too much extra work. Skinning is probably my life in the future but not now so i'm gonna focus on now right now. Sorry for the looooonnnggg wait, school life you know?

i think ill be pretty much free in two or three weeks. The year is coming to an end.

not sure if it's too late to call this out, applause and pause loop are FREAKIN' 44 MB FILES!!! R U KIDDING ME?!
and remove all of pause-*-hover and get one of these files to be named pause-hover, this will also skin the sound of selecting button on the pause/fail screens with arrow keys

i think the white will look GREAT when you get around to it- im in love with the green vers. but i think white will work a little better with me. thanks for all the hard work!

lots of things have happened for the past many months, but as the year ends i will slowly accelerate to the regular speed with progress.

as i get older i will probably gain more work, and that would take priority simply because its more important to life.. sorry if that sucks, i think it does too.



Lots of red dots to kill for the pink version! thats not even all of them, probably gonna take a while™ but i'll slowly catch up as my work load decreases (and probably will increase again soon.)

Hey I would like to create my own edition of your skin with a maybe blue or black and white as a color scheme.
I will remake everything with Affinity Designer but before that I would like to get you permission :)

Very nice skin btw, I really like that reminder for example to set it up and all those options O.O

Not sure if I really want to put in more effort XD, I mean I am totally fine with my white version of the skin....
maybe I can/will put in some work into it once I have a bit more time from school and get bored of the white skin.

Here is all I did at the moment:

the sources.zip includes all Afdesign files and a PSD Version for everyone who uses Photoshop.
most of the recoloring was done by ImageMagick (see here: http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/color_basics/#replace)

I recommend using the White Skin because this one looks the best and has the most effort put in XD (the other ones are okay)

for those having trouble opening different colored .osk files:
- for me, i had to open the .osk inside winrar and extract a folder inside the .osk,
the .osk doesn't open correctly with osu and creates a blank skin instead.


additional thank you for these colored releases, though, i had a heavily modified version of this skin and i'm happy to rework it in white now

hi, about the recolored flavours, here's some feedback for red in no particular order:
- the following stuff is not recolored: mod icons, taiko, ctb, mania, prefrences folder, ranking-title
- this shadow effect on this message is painful to read
- the fruit catcher bug still exists
- there's no setup folder
- there's a green glow on big mode icons
- there's a slight green glow around every text (including but not limited to: combo,score,default,grades)
- 2nd line on the ranking graph is green
- it may be just me, but the mode small is distracting when you notice the problems it has
- the spinner is pink (and mixed skins are not allowed on the forum)
- the 2nd line in the section pass/fail is suposed to be darker than the 1st one

also, thx trace for that, I legit was having trouble opening this. fix that also plz

Colours that are not Green and Pink wern't recoloured by me, so he may have used a different method to convert it which gives these artefacts.

He also stated that he did osu and menus only.

this is why they are in a beta peek stage.

Love the skin it's definatly my fav for now
Changes I made beyond what you provide are spinner and section pass/fail recolored matching green from this skin (my previous fav) https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/564208 also I'm nopt sure if you are aware but in the folder to remove the cursor trail in has a combo burst png not a transparent cursor trail png, so I fixed that myself. I also changed all the combo colours to the main green used throughout the skin in the ini file. Other than all this nitpickey stuff the only major reccomendation I would have is to make the simple spinner you include way more simple, similar to the one from the previously mentioned skin. Other than that keep up the great skinning work.

Do note that colours that aren't fully filled in the download page aren't made by me, so you might encounter some non-matching elements between colours, e.g. spinner and mods.

The number may not be that accurate as my link handling got messed up, versions got lost, colours got mixed, etc. But should give a rough idea.

Pink will reach proofreading stage very soon, just need to patch the setup folder.

CTRL+O -> Skin -> Open current skin folder -> Open the folder "1-Setup"
Don't know your aspect ratio?

Could you provide a download link that isn't to google drive? Whenever I try to download the skin, google virus scanner removes basically everything. There isn't any way to disable the virus scanner, so I can't download it off of google drive.

Google Drive can't scan for viruses for huge files. It is a false positive cuz I've already tried it and works fine. Also, switch the Google's language to your loca- oh wait, United States :thonk:

It actually is possible for Google Drive to scan for viruses, b uht you'd probably need chrome and a 3rd party extension to do so, but the extension, in a sense, would scan the file for viruses. With that aside, I think that MediaFire is the only service that scans for viruses when you upload a file, but it does not scan while downloading. So, in closure, you're right, but it is still possible to get some form of extension that scan downloaded files, but most likely only on Chrome.

There was high demand for Standard aspect ratios, so it'll be really nice to see it done. Not sure what OP says tho.
and yes, watch replay this small. It has a huge hitbox tho, so with muscle memory you can still hit it

    Pink has now been fully patched. Well, at least to my knowledge

    Please download and check it for errors. I'll be working on blue next! (not cyan)

Also the Green image seems to be fine? I do notice some distortion on the top of that row though. I'll clear caches and see whats up.

NIGHTGATE PINK FEEDBACK IMPLEMENTED
- added option for pink only combo colours
- Fixed mania combo tinting

Additional Fixes:
- More refined line above the scoreboard at song select, now more 'pink' instead of white, and sharper too
- Refined buttons have a dark shade to them to enhance their visibility with lighter backgrounds
- A better menu background added.
- Multi elements refined. Better multi-skip and ranking-winner frame.
- Fixed a preferences error where the numbered option had a space after the name.
new setup for 4:3 and 5:4 screens is being tested!

Please download and check for any misaligned or odd elements. I appreciate feedback!

whoa, I don't think it's the mac issue. Thats a new issue i haven't seen before.

what system and skin are you running on?, and did you change up any settings before the screenshot? (macfix, screen ratio, any preferences)

Thats not really a problem with using fallback, thats just a problem of people not sticking to the recommanded sizes

Um, quite a standstill --very busy at the moment and probably for a long time too

Hmmmm for some reason the Setup folder is missing from the download at my end. Is it just me?

Ps: Thanks for your hard work, been using VOEZ since I started playing cuz I hated the basic skin <3

CTRL+O -> Skin -> Open current skin folder

  • NIGHTGATE PINK COMPLETE
    Small Fixes:
    - Buttons have darker backgrounds
    - Multi elements touched up (multi-skipped and multi-winner)
    - More kawaii combo colours for pink lovers

    I need to implement these changes to GREEN.

@DaPrimeAtce is patching up Red and Orange quite well. Red will be out next after we fix a small amount of options up. Reply +1 for red to get me to post a link to download the current progress
