osu! doesnt handle very well when it comes to images that have huge dimension size.
normally restarting the game works regardless of compatibility mode enabled.
(potentially the RAM could be the main problem tho. eg Outdated)

I tried restarting many times but it never works on my pc with compatibility mode and always works without it. I tried reinstalling the skin, the game and also my nvidia drivers. I've 8gb DDR4 RAM and my laptop only has 3 month (idk what you mean by outdated).dlwnstns99 wrote:

The files are all in the skin folder since it works without compatibility mode, but I've issues with OpenGL on my laptop that's why I use compatibility mode.
Could it be an issue with windows pagefile?

Theres a lot of things I would like to say but I want to keep it short:
- Compatibility mode and skins have no correlation at all.

I ran this skin without a dedicated graphics card and I had no issues whatsoever. I did include compatibility mode and it was still perfectly fine.

How about try deleting play-skip elements? you can keep 1 frame if you wish
play-skip consumes the most out of the total size of the skin.

Froste, the same stuff happened to me on Noel skin. My solution (and I'm not sure if you'll like it or not) is to remove all HD files. To do this, search "*@2x*" w/o quote marks and remove all of the results
Ok I just made some tests following what you told me.
Skin is still Kafuu Chino.

With compatibility mode ON :

Skin without any play-skip : no missing elements

When I load a map after opening osu it's a bit longer (maybe 1-2sec longer) when I've all skin elements, still with compatibility mode. Also I feel like I've a little lag when I first open the pause menu too, but it seems to be the case no matter the conditions.

You check the task manager and see if everything is alright. Nothing more than that. lol
Ok I only tested out the compatibility mode (including the play-skip) and found out that:

Loading first map: 1170-1178MB

I guess it depends on how many beatmaps you have when it comes to starting the game and entering the song selection menu.
I don't know why but I didn't realise that when I tried out compatibility mode, play-skip was acting retarded. Like it was flashing and shit. (I keep restarting and nothing changed)
AND IMPORTANTLY:
The ranking letters and pause background didnt appear. But as soon as I restarted the game, it went back to normal. This may happen to me but in a very slim chance.
We know that compatibility mode doesn't like to handle big skins especially the play-skip AND it consumes more RAM.
Optimisation-wise, compatibility mode is worse than the non-compatibility mode.
I think the play-skip buttons I make does not like compability mode which may affect other elements.
So to my own conclusion, osu! can run files from the skin but not all of them which basically means that other elements can just simply crash.

The reason being is that I didnt skin the comma therefore uses the default comma instead.

I'm interested in skinning since a while now and I never succeeded to figure out how to skin the top part of the menu... i mean I knew it was about the "mode-xxx-small" etc but I never found the right size of the image, did you already know about it or did you just test it step by step to get the right template ? For three months i was unable to do it properly XD

A quick question.. am i the only one bugged out with missing the "Replay" button? If so how could I fix this. I read the important notice stating to restart the game but I have and I still have no luck with it fixing itself.. any help. Thanks guys love ya <3. UPDATE skin is fine.. replay and health bar just missing for map/replay.. interesting but, oh well.

are you sure that "pause-replay" is not a fully transparent image? If it's not, the replay in subject only stores the results and not the aim/tapping

I love these skin a lot. I want to say my favorite is Jeanne of Arc since she is waifu but I just feel like her pause menu is lacking quality compare to the other fate skin Nero. I think the ranking panel picture of Jeanne is lacking in term of quality compare to the Nero skin, maybe a different high quality picture. The fail screen have room for creativity like the other Yukino skin. These are just minor stuffs but other than that I think this Jeanne skin is amazing. Looking forward to any update on this skin if there is one in the future because I really like Jeanne and Jalter.

There's a .psd file called inputoverlay-background@2x. You can open and edit it if you have the right software (photoshop is not the only software).
If you're completely clueless editing it, just pm me the image through the osu! website and I'll hook it up.

Playing on a mac does not matter but what does matter is what resolution you're running on osu. 1920 x 1200 is 16:10 aspect ratio, not 16:9.
You must run 16:9 resolution to display what it is shown from the screenshots.

The comboburst is not skinned at all because the majority of players usually disable it in the settings. No point skinning that if nearly everyone is not going to see it.

I mainly use https://www.pixiv.net/ to look up the fanart.
Otherwise, google images or certain websites (i wont go through that).
If you wish to find good fanart on pixiv, type japanese in the search box.
eg. The image below translates to kizuna ai 5000users.

x amount of users means the number of users who added that artwork to their favourites.
x can be 50, 100, 300, 500, 1000, 5000, and 10000.
The bigger amount of users, the better quality but it is limited due to how many there are currently.

if you can't be bothered reading the faq for the solution just
restart the game and it should work. hopefully.

She from Fate Grand Order.
She is not in an anime but if you play fate grand order in JP server there like a couple of story based about her but if you want to use her in your game. Well lol good luck pulling her
